  1. I have 2 wierd catches. I was throwing a deep diver at the end of a tournament and hooked into what I thought was BB of the day. I had the net ready when all of a sudden I could see my crankbait, but that was it. It kept pulling and tugging, and I couldn't figure it out. Finally I brought it up and I had picked up a rattle trap off the bottom. I pulled the line in and at the end was a broken rod and a $100 dollar reel. It must had been dropped in the water the day before. That was 7 years ago, and I use the reel to this day. The second one I was throwing a crankbait on a private lake. I hooked a bass about 14 inches and when he got about 20ft from boat he jumped and I couldnt see the crankbait so I threw out a cuss word thinking the fish got the bait down his throat. I flipped him in the boat and there was no crankbait. The crankbait was attached my manns speed clip and somehow the bait came off and the clip pinched the fish in the lip. I got a pic on my cell phone of it
  2. You picked a great frog to start with. IMO, the spro is the best all around frog. It does everything really well, and the hook up ratio is good as far as frogs go. Some frogs do some things better, some will walk better, but will not skip as good, etc. I really like some of the paint jobs other companies offer but SPRO has some great new colors they are coming out with this year. I fish my frogs outside the mats quite a bit so color matters to me.
  3. Hello everyone, I'm just getting introduced to swim baits and need a little guidance. I'm in the midwest, and would like to know if there is a time you should throw a hard swimbait like- king shad, BBZ-1 shad, or tru tungsten, over a regular single hook soft swimbait like a shadalicious or lake fork live magic shad.
