  1. I cant fish without it now. Feels like I am blind. But as stated above, it is hard to drive away from a school of bass that just want bite. I have used it for a year now, and telling species of fish is pretty easy. Some times cat fish will set up just like bass on a drop, but as you get closer you can see the body shape and know they are catfish.
  2. What travel rods would you recommend?
  3. Last upgrade....lol.....that is funny. ?
  4. Ballpark on the cost of the private charter?
  5. I have 10 of these rods and they have been used almost 100 days on the water this year. I did have one break on the hookset but it was replaced over the counter. My only complaint with them is the eyes. You have to baby them.
  6. Around here they are called Alabama smallmouths.
  7. I will bet you it is gar. Right now they are schooled up in 25-30 ft of water and crashing the surface a lot. Last week in that area I saw hundreds of them doing this.
  8. I have been out 109 days so far this year, so that comes to about 25 days a month. No wonder i cant get any yard work done.
  9. I started wearing the columbia long sleeves last year. Never would have believed it but i stay much cooler, less sweating, and sun protection. I have one on everytime out now.
  10. Ive got the go pro 2. Wide angle makes it hard to miss a shot of yourself. All kinds of attachments to mount it and its waterproof. Here is a shot at arms length.
  11. Sorry Shane, if i would have known you were so sensitive about losing i would have let catch a few more. No seriously, thanks for the trip Lisa and I had a great time. Carl
  12. My wife took this shot of me fly fishing.
