sunkboat on big o

Trying to get to lake o sunday but not sure. Want to go to poga, buddy caught 2 over 9 lbs wednesday, last weekend 3 bags over 30lbs with big fish being 11.9, but probably just hit the lake. I hear ya about beds everywhere but no fish, think spawn almost over up there they have been schooling for weeks.

How did you choose your prop?

Ive asked on these forums and a prop guy here suggested a prop i should use and a buddy is getting me a hydraulic plate so hoping those two are the trick. Have been researching and talked to couple people i know that work on motors and no help. Like i said boat is close to empty. I thought same thing bout speed but fished tourny with buddy and had long ride to some fish and we got there alot faster in his boat then i would have and flurry ended early so only reason would like top end if needed. Normally run slow and carefull

I've had my phoenix 721 for going on 5 months now and just getting use to it now i want top end speed if possible. Been reading here some guys running mid to hi 70's I'm riding high 60's. I know she has alot more in her but am new to bass boats and would like to find out how to get it. Do any of you know anyone in south florida that is good with this, we seem to be very limited down here in this area. Also having major problems with my front humminbird unit. Any advice on where I can take it would be great.

Fished the Jimmy McMillan memorial tourny sat outta slims, had 2 good ones that weighed 10lbs and 3 that only weighed 2.8lbs for a total of 12.8. Didnt fish the area we took 4th last week and probably good i didnt my buddy I fished with last weekend ran there and only got one fish. I had 2 good bites early and thought i was in for a good day, but never could get the rest of em. Brandon came in 2nd and mickeybalzz came in 3rd and couple others i know did well were pretty close to slims so if you have been waiting to make your way up there, I think the south ease section is fixing to explode. Took a friends son out off mile marker 35 and caught as many 11 inch fish as you could handle sunday. He had fun, coming back in i saw a monster on bed on the rocks linning the alley but didnt try to catch her. Didnt fish myself just took advice I got here (thanks) and threw some 4 inch yum dingers and he had a blast.

Gonna take my buddy and his young son fishing in the glades this weekend. They have never bass fished so i figured shinners would be easiest way for him to catch fish. I have never shiner fished before and havent been in the glades in months. Was hoping i could get some help on best place to take him. Any advice would be great Thanks

I figured that, my buddy calls me at 8:30 and says his guide trip customer had over 20 with a 7.8 kicker on the same fish I could have went back to, oh well. Over 20 was probably a great sack in those conditions. I'm an idiot.

Fished tourney out of clewiston with a buddy sat. He had some schooling fish first thing in the morning we were on fire. Can't tell ya how many and how fast we were pulling them in. Saw another school couple hundred yards away and left the biting school looking for bigger ones and he nails a 7.10 I get one over 5 and a bunch of 3 pounders, felt good to be throwing back the normal 2lbders I had been weighing. Ended up with 21 something and took 4th and second big fish. Everyone I talked to says they have been schooling like crazy last couple weeks. Was fishing tourney Sunday but wind was 20 to 30 mph and was not into fighting that all day. Having a memorial for McMillan next sat at slims, I think it's 60 a team if anyone interested.

Fished both bass buster tournys last weekend with some fish in mind found the previous weekend. Went to the fish sat morning and missed more fish than I ever have in my short fishing life. Left there empty handed and on to next spot, caught a 5.5 on bed and another 3 but by then was getting late so decided to practice for sunday. Went back sunday and water looked completely different. Caught a ton of little ones, couldnt see the beds, and finished with 9lbs. Had the fish to atleast check sat just could not put them in the boat. Sunday just couldnt get bites. Oh well keep trying. Have 2 tournys there this weekend, guess I'll donate some more.

yeah right outside of where we were there was a shiner trip and twice i hear em screaming oh my god what a pig....dont know the weights or big fish...anyone else know

had 13.9, knew were some big post spawn females were, caught a 5 and 4 but couldnt get others to bite. Seems to me when the sun is out and you are in the clear water the females are spawning around it gets alot harder to get them to bite. We went pretty far up north. Anyone know if any southern areas are holding spawners? i know a guy who caught an 8 sat in a tourny south on a bed but nothing else.

Didnt know about the weights sat so i fished yesterday, d**n LAKE, first time in 3 months of weekends in the new boat i finally catch a fish over 5 pounds, had 21.03 total and didnt even cash with just 29 boats. Thats right 30 boats and i would have cashed. Had a 6.9 5.9 and a 5, just couldnt get rid of 2 little ones. Missed fifth guy had 21.23. Oh well it was great threw back a hand full of 2's that until this point i would have killed for. Def had a slew of big girls move in recently. Missed one atleast 7. But a great day regardless. Will post pic when i figure it out

agree, I went outta Rolands, and actually met him we were putting in at the same time, and only caught a few. Had one over 4 flipping but little else. If things dont change and send some girls in with this cold front weights are gonna be way down for the pros this week. If its bright and sunny like it was sunday could be brutal.

yeah me mikey a few times, good dude. Tried fishing and area he caught em in bfl but couldnt get em to bite. North end huh Rob? you see alot of pros over there sunday? Wish i knew you were back sunday would have asked you to fish busters with me. Buddy was suppose to fish with me but ended up getting a guide trip instead.

They are bedding over there just not out in the open, its gonna be a parking lot in there for the next few weeks with the flw coming here. Seen Scott Martin and Mike Surman headed there Sunday. 14lbs not bad down south, have heard of a few good fish being caught down there just not in bunches.

Pre fished sat. in and around the north shore with very little to show for it so I was thinking fishing sunday would be stupid, but did anyway. Went near there where i know one of the 20lb bags were caught during the everstart that wasnt by J&S and was catching them pretty well until about 1130 when the sun came out. Went down and fished through the west wall way back to the inside and there are tiny fish everywhere, and they were all peeing, but could not get anything big. Went in at 3 had about 12lbs but didnt weigh so i could try to catch the rest of the games. Would like to know what the weights were if anyone knows? I seen 5 boats headed accross the lake at first light so would like to know if they are still catching them over there. Anyone else fish?

anyone have experience running outta clewiston and accross the lake through the reef? is it well marked? pretty easy to follow?

yeah i passed, knew the best fish were up north and outta slims with my little knowledge of running accross the lake and the reef decided to wait for the busters tournys this weekend. seems like all the water down south is dirty but there are still some females down there just gotta find em.

Thinking about fishing slims tourney anyone going to be up there?
