First time I crossed it was on my 16' alumi with 40hp...It was about dark and these nice 4' rollers came outa no where! I came completely outa the water at only 30mph! My buddy behind me saw the prop and everything following in his tracker! crazy stuff... I like the Ribbit frogs myself and a Hackney double hook by Tru Tungsten. I had a big one hit my 10'' culprit on the outside edge Tuesday, felt big anyway only 6'' of worm was left : (

Any luck?? I went tonight and didnt catch anything, only had about 3 hours to fish but no nothing around the bull run marina area... I just dont get the place lol... I can go to the potomac and catch a slew but here nothing... Must just be lack of knowledge at the place. That and not being Tidal at all............Wind must be your friend there.

Thanks, Went out and had a great day, I cought 15 keepers nothing over 3.5lbs though, Pops only caught 2! i was kinda bummed for him.... He must be rusty thats all.

Thanks guys! Headed back Sunday morning with my pops, I havent been on a boat with him in over 15 years! Last time I cought a 6lb 11oz under the Rt1 bridge!

Hight tide still moving in strong right before the slack tide. Points, structure on the shore and deep ledges.

Yes this is not Tidal since its above the Great Falls. Be carefull where you boat, I have torn up a prop there and I know of other people who destroy lower units. If you stay in the channels you should be ok. The water does fluxuate a lot depending on rain, almost making it look tidal. good luck.

I snagged one with a spinner bait last weekend at Kerr lake. Got him her right in the tail. Never had something fight so hard!

as of now, the boats been in the water 3 times since I have owned it. 2 times out of lake ridge and 1 out of fountainhead. I plan to put in at fountainhead mainly because I live in Herndon. What was the big fish weight of the tourney last weekend?

Do you enter the Fhead tourneys Soccer? I would def like to take someone out that knows the area well or go out with someone.... Just bought a 14ft decked with 9.9 evinrude, depth finder and trolling motor...Perfect for that place. lol Same setup as most peoples....

Hey guys, My first real evening of fishing the resi. Launched out of Fountainhead, picked up my buddy at Lake ridge. CREW People everywhere! We fished the third point after lake ridge on the right, if you leave to the right. No luck on that point or in the cove. Fished one of the other points on the wall side, no luck. Crossed the Res to a cove that has big tall trees coming out of the middle. Fished the point then went in the cove... Nothing. I just want to say this place is tricky compared the the potomac, we go there and catch bass every time we go it never fails. Either the fish were holding deep or i just dont know. We were throwing spinners, creature baits, craink baits, wacky worms weighted. I am just dumbfounded that I caught nothing. I do believe that i need to find the baitfish they are feeding on since it seems like it is still pre spawn. This was Tuesday evering the 4.20 actually.
