Hey guys! Tell me how you view women fishing with you?
My GF goes with me all the time, she fishes everything and even holds the fish. We always CnR so she does not have to worry about blood. I had to go with an alluminum pro team 190 so that we could use it for camping and can stand the waves and rocks all night. Having her come with allows me to go more often, plus there is someone else there to hold the camera for me. It works out pretty good.

swim jig ?
couple questions: 1. whats the difference between swimming jigs and flipping jigs? is it just the head shape? 2. And when you swim a jig is it just like a spinner bait, where you can go anywhere in the water column, or are you just trying to run it on the ground like a fleeing craw?

Live Well Drained
Looked for an answer but with no luck. I have two switches for live well control (Aerator) and (Re-circulator). I caught a fish put in live well with some of that catch and release, flipped the switch for re-circulate. Checked back in 2 min barely 2 inches of water, fish was on his side just laying there. So, i picked him up put him in the lake and waited for well to fill again. If I am not mistaken sounds like Areator pulls in new water and re-circulator pumps in water from the well. Why would it drain? I used the Catch and Release just to have it drain out. For the remainder of the day, about 1 hour, kept both pumps on that turned off and on routinely, but there has to be a way to keep the water in the well until I am at a good spot to re-fill with clean water.

Ambidextrous?? anyone else? Good or bad?
I just feel like I can set hook better in my dominant hand. So, I hold the rod with my right and retrieve with my left. I never understood why pros, cast with right hand and then always switch hands, wasting time and motion. Just cast, stop the line and start reeling. Plus I was watching a videos from Pros stating that it would be beneficial to learn how to flip and pitch with your left hand so that you can real in quicker and make more pitches by not switching hands, but that is with a right hand retrieve reels. Well if you hold your reel in your dominant hand anyways, which is left hand retrieve, i feel like there would be less of a learning curve... But what do I know.

Hello from Las Vegas
I've been fishing since last June when I ran into a friend at the local BPS, and been hooked ever since. Just recently bought my first bass and have 10 rods and about 2 Plano tackle boxes full of soft and hard plastics. I am 26 college grad with 2 jobs, so needless to say I don't have much time to get on the water but Sunday's I take the girlfriend out to Lake Mead and fish. We thought we were doing good catching stripers until Mike Iaconelli referred to them and carp in a tuxedo. Found this web site by doing research and found the articles and read just about every one of them, luckily one of my jobs I sit in front of a computer. I am still trying to learn as much as I can and apply it when I am on the water.

Biggest Mistake After Putting The Boat In The Water
I always keep the plug in, and I figure as long as I concentrate the 1 min that I am draining the bilge and live well and put the plug back in that I won't have to worry about it. I have only taken my boat out twice so far and keep a meticulous checklist, or just email my gf from work what she needs to do as I remember it the day before. I keep a table in the garage and put everything on it that I need to remember to take. Getting up at 330 am after getting off at 1 am it can be tricky to remember everything.

favorite fishing show
Since being able to get back to Versus I have set my DVR to record just about any fishing show I could find... well bass fishing anyways. By far my fav is City Limits Fishing. It seems to be the only goal orientated show. I feel that some of the other shows is all about selling a specific product that wont even work on my home lake.

Bass Pro Las Vegas and Denver
I live in Vegas and almost make weekly trips to my BPS. They have mostly everything that I go in looking for. I went in looking for the top ten lures and was only able to come out with 5 of them. I did go in recently to find a flik-jig and was able to find a weedless one. We do have LMB SMB and stripers at Lake Mead and he was not kidding about BIG stripers! "My personal best Striped Striped Bass Lake Mead" check it out on youtube not my video just found it thought I would share.
