Snakehead Tourny
I'd have to agree with Shane on this. The snakehead "problem" has been over-hyped from the get go. I remember the guys on this forum from up north explaining how they went through a similar fiasco years ago. Personally I have never caught or even seen a snakehead in the Everglades. And I am out there fishing at least once a week. Who is benefiting from these round-ups? Think about it

Holiday Park?
You could start a whole thread dedicated to what they do to the water levels out there. You would get a lot of different opinions. Personally I think they do what is in the best interest of the farmers to the north, and I'll leave it at that.

Boat Parts Theive
Well you handled the situation like a gentleman. I, however, think I would have handled it like a redneck. Nuff said

Need Help With Boat Set Up In Sofla
Also depends on how you are calculating those speeds. For instance there is a 5mph difference from my speedometer vs my GPS speed. As far as going faster you could re-prop for more top end. A jack plate may also give you a few more mph. Load your boat differently so you can get the rear out of the water a little more maybe. To answer your question though I don't know who you would take it to, seems like some research on your part might answer your questions

Need Your Help
You can free dive 12-15ft with a mask and fins.. don't know how good the visibility will be but for the price of a gopro I would try. Those things are tiny it will be tough. Good luck

Should The Fwc Change The Bass Bag Limits?
Here is the email I received concerning... Hello: As FWC was developing our Black Bass Management Plan (available on the web here) we recognized we wanted to review our bass regulations statewide. We want to include public opinion and suggestions in this review (additional information is available here). One way we are gathering public input for this review is through a series of open house events. Here in the south region, we are hosting two of these events. There are no presentations planned – just stop by and tell us what you think. I have attached flyers promoting each of these open house events, March 11 at C. Scott Driver park in Okeechobee, and March 12 at Bass Pro Shops in Dania Beach. I would welcome both your participation and your assistance in helping spread the word. Thank you, Barron Barron Moody Regional Fisheries Administrator FWC, Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management 8535 Northlake Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL 33412 (561) 625-5122

Should The Fwc Change The Bass Bag Limits?
I wouldn't have a problem with raising the limit of under 14" but I would like to see anything over 14" put back. We have way to many tiny fish down here IMO. They are having an open house at Bass Pro concerning this exact subject, I will see if I can find the info to share.

Crooked Lake, Florida
It's been a while since I've been there but I remember doing well in the shallower flats area near the midpoint of the lake on the west side, easily found on google earth. Also did ok fishing the banks in the areas where there are a lot of submerged tree trunks, I think that was the east south east side but don't quote me on that. They were hitting spinners and EZs but that was some time ago who knows what they are hitting now. Good luck
