ive been throwing a lot of light football head jigs (1/4-3/8). and i need a rod that will load up and cast those light baits far. i currently own cumara MH extra fast and i feel that its a lil to stiff for the light jigs. my friend owns the medium version and its sweet but im not trying to spend 200+ so if anyone knows a rod between $100-150 please mention! thanks

thanks david! ive never fished a dobyns but i do have powells which i love and from what people say there all around better. and yes it will be used for a all around cranking stick.

im getting my new rod on monday and i am getting the dobyns 705glass and it seems to be a rod for deeper cranks, but i was looking at some crankbaits online and some are rated from 1/4-3/8once these are shallow running crankbaits and i was wondering how the smaller cranks "heavier" will handle on a stiffer rod? thanks

david p: is the revo you match it up with the new ones? and also what gear ratio are you using? i have a old curado but i wanna upgrade. my friend has revos and i absoutly love them! from what others have told me im 95% sure im gunna get the dobyns!

going to be getting a new crankbait rod and was looking at these 2 models: powell 703 glass, or dobyns 705 glass. both rods would throw medium cranks (some large), jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater. so if anyone has any info on either rod please reply! and what reel would you reconmend to balance them out?
