  4. Yes, I turned it both ways to see if I could see a difference. Loosen it, nothing happened. Tighten it, the gap gets wider. Hootie

  6. While I was fishing today, my reel all of a sudden didn't feel right. Took a close look and I saw that that I had line behind the spool on the handle side. I checked to see if I had side to side play in the spool....no, just a gap.I tried tightening the tension knob,but that was just making the gap wider. What's going on? By the way, it's a Core 100mg.   11. I have never used their flouro, but I do use, "occasionally" vicious ultimate, a copolymer. Never have had a problem with it. Hootie

  17. I have one, but mine is 6'8" MH. It's a great rod for the money. Plenty of sensitivity and light weight. Hootie

  19. Just reading an old book called "Bass Fishing", published by Field and Stream in 1962. It recommends oiling the bearings on a baitcasting reel every hour. That's correct...."every hour". Hootie
