  3. I hear ya. I have that happen occasionally, and I always just let them have the spot. The lake is too big and life is to short to let someone ruin my day. But believe me, I feel your pain....lol. Hootie
  4. I always spend over the minimum and then pay for overnight shipping. Ten bucks to get it tomorrow? Can't beat it. Never once had an issue. Hootie
  5. People that criticized the G series Curado, weren't criticizing the reel, but the price point. Now that they can be had for $100.00, guys are standing in line to get them. If you can find one, grab it. Very servicable reel. Hootie
  6. I'm happy and I don't need to make excuses or apologize. Hootie
  7. I see some people who hold on to the rod handle. I can't do that. I feel it makes the whole rig top heavy and I have no control. My hand is on the side of the reel and the line running over the top of my forefinger or between my thumb and forefinger. Hootie
  8. Slow? Put it this way, nothing got stretched....lol. Hootie
  9. I know what you mean. I have been fishing forever and never really paid any attention till yesterday, while I was fishing. Hootie
  10. When you are holding your baitcaster, where is your trigger. I noticed mine is usually between my pinky and ring finger. Never thought about it before. Like I said, silly question. Hootie

  13. My retirement has been blessed and I know it, and I am extremely grateful. Hootie
  14. I hear that. My first rig was a Zebco 606 and whatever rod came with it. It was a kit. Also, I was more noticing pros (new guys)that don't have any particular sponsor for a rod or reel. Hootie
  15. I have noticed in magazine photos, and on fishing shows a lot of pros using rods and or reels that get regularly slammed on our forum. Have we become a bunch of tackle snobs? Hootie
  16. A very interesting topic, as I just recently traded some lower end gear for two new G Loomis GLX's and a few other items. Hootie
  17. At nearly 70 yrs old, I thought I had seen everything. Oh well, wrong again...lol. Hootie
  18. Did you ever see a bird fly straight down? I am sitting on my back porch and just saw this bird drop about 40 ft. straight down. I actually thought it was falling until it landed on another limb. Hootie
  19. He thinks it is not a good idea, I think it will work fine. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Just a little country boy humor. Hootie
  20. I really couldn't see the point in passing up a $69.00 BPS Pro Qualifier that can do the job, for a $270.00 reel that can't. It WILL do the job. I'll get back with you at the end of the season, and one of us will eat crow. AND IT WON'T BE ME!....lol. Hootie
  21. Not a problem with the old product, just a new deal with Seaguar. Hootie
  22. Have ONLY used mine for jigs. Help me out here. Where is the problem? Maybe, just because it's new, people are a little scared. Don't be....it's fine and up to the task. Hootie
  23. That's the spool tension knob. Hootie
  24. Does he mean shields or retainer clips? Hootie
