Don't want to make you cry, but I walked out of the store with an out of pocket cost of $164.00. Reel brand new, rod brand new. Just traded some more stuff I wasn't using. $900.00 rig,.... $164.00. Hootie

How Is Bass Pro On Used Reel Exchanges?
Simple answer is yes, they will take it back. Just state exactly what you said in your post. The phone call, while it seems like a good idea, will always get you the answer, "we'll have to see it first". They want you to be a happy customer. Hootie

Can't Wait!
Will do. I'm sure you have seen on some of my previous posts, I have always questioned this sensitivity thing. I guess I'm about to find out for myself. I sure hope I have been wrong....lol. If I can't tell the difference between an NRX and a $50.00 BPS Tourney Special, I'll just chalk it up to numb hands...lol. Hootie

Can't Wait!
Got my NRX. Got the 803c j&w rod. I'm used to 6'8" rods. Also, that's the longest rod that I can fit in my vehicle. Also, couldn't resist. Got a Shimano core 100Mg7 to mount on it. Oh happy day!! Hootie

Can't Wait!
Listening to the way some of you guys, Roadwarrior, and others talk about the high end G Loomis rods tweaked my interest. I was recently able to acquire 2 GLX's. Got to fish them last week and they are awesome. So tomorrow I am going to pick up a brand new NRX J&W rod. I am as excited as a kid, the night before Christmas. Hootie

What Have You Purchased Recently?
Had wanted to drop the benji and just use Hootie, since that is how I sign anyhow. Well Hootie was already taken by someone who hasn't signed on since 2009. So "00 mod", Jeff suggested adding a character to make it usable, hence, *Hootie. Jeff has been helping me for a couple of days to try to work this out. And he did it. A big THANKS to Jeff. Hootie

Finally Got One!
Wonder why everyone is having so much trouble finding them. I have 3 of them, and they are readily available in Cincinnati. Got 2 at Field and Stream, and 1 at American Legacy Fishing on a trade. Hootie Maybe I should just say,.... I never had any problem getting mine. Our BPS has a couple now and then. No consistency.

Heavy Or Medium Heavy
You guys have been a great help. I was beginning to second guess myself on my choosing to get the heavy. I guess mostly because, up to now I have never used anything above a medium heavy. I'm looking forward to giving them a real workout on the laydown infested lake I fish. Thanks a bunch. Hootie

Heavy Or Medium Heavy
Loomis GLX, fluorocarbon 5'-7'ft deep and as I stated jigs and worms, 3/8 jigs and 1/4 to 5/16 t-rigged worms. I might add, the Loomis GLX heavy don't seem as heavy as a duckette mh. Hootie
