I am enjoying my lead while it lasts. Both Maine and Shane are due up to the plate soon. And they usually swing for the fences.

Nice work Jitterbug and Shane- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States
Mht , You should be good to fish as long as you dont go with Shane or Nate. add this to my total -- looks like 18 ? I am taking the pics too quick trying to get them back swimming... Round pond this morning. a bunch of 17+ to go with this one.- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States
Thanks Nate. No weights on mine. Lots of time i don't weigh them. If they feel like they are gonna be a 6+ then i will weigh them for sure if i have a scale with me. The metal screw in the pic after the tail is at 22 1/2 - and the lines are every 1/2 inch --- lets go with a conservative 21. here is another 18 from Round Pond in Nashua this morning. Jitterbug [ you and your buddy should try this place in your canoe. It is right off Amherst st in Nashua so we will go with 22 - 21 - 18 - 18 - 4 fish 79 inch sound good ? If you dont agree feel free to correct or toss the one the pic is not so good. i just made a new board and put the ruler on it- Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
FYI May 15 to June 15 no live bait for bass. Fishing is legal with these species but not right now... ... http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/baitfish_species.htm artificial lures and flies only -- may 15 - June 15- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States
I am going to make a wider and more clearly marked portable boards. These are not readable too easily. Unfortunately one is not viewable very well. and she was the biggest one. She hit a 4 inch Black Jitterbug the moment it hit the water. and those things cast a mile. It took what seemed like forever to get her in. I thought it was a huge smallie the way it fought and jumped. (i wish i could have seen it but it was way too dark) And being it was at the far end of the cast, i did my best to get her back in the water as fast as i could.- How Many Fish For Hours, without A Strike?
agreed , night fish. full moon , black broken tail jitterbugs with rattle balls inside the body. I use smaller and up to 3 1/2 inch. try slow and fast retrieve. also 1 hour before sunrise. up here in NH we talk about the 1 am bite ... but I don't fish the 1 am bite. I do however do the night bite as the sun goes down. and the 4:30 am bite before the sun comes up. its a small window of time. usually about 1 or 1 1/2 hours tops. move around to different areas till you find them. after you find a few target the area for a bit then move to a little different area till you find more fish. dont forget some good light to help you with removing hooks I also agree that throwing something different that what others are throw if you can figure out what everyone is using. wacky rigging? weightless rage craw ? try different colors. lake fork baby ring worm wacky and just shake it up and down for 5 minutes.- Bluegill Beds
seem the same up here in NH . Largemouth are mostly completely done. Smallmouth , some are still on beds. The sunfish have moved in on the LM and SM empty beds.- Extreme Dislike For Chain Pickerel
I like big pickerel. Many many I catch with a rage rig weightless. fish this size are fun , but we don't get many this big up here in NH , This is close to our state record at 27ish 8+lbs I am going pike fishing soon in hopes of a 35+ incher. in my yak I have never caught a pike. I do catch a lot of 20 - 22 inch pickerel.- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States
Nice work last month Maine. Nice start to June Mar. Lets see those post spawn long ones.- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States
Mike , take a look at the last post on page 8 of the May thread. I made this and carry it on my yak also. I have a 36 inch one for pike fishing and a 24 inch one I usually carry in the yak. I just tacked on to a wood piece a 24 inch part of a yard stick. You could also draw measure across the top . side of your yak with a permanent marker. even though it is permanent marker it will still fade out with the sun. If you look back in the may thread you will see several of us do this across our jon boat seats also. , also made one that goes on top of the cross member of my canoe.- Who Wants In New England: May
Nate , you gotta get rid of that little 21.75 incher for June...- Who Want In June! All Northeastern States

Jitterbug, Forget about the fishing for the night and enjoy your prom or hers which ever it may be. Most people only get one of these in their lives Enjoy it and Be careful out there. This time of year the fish will wait for you. They are not going anywhere for a few days.- Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
fished little Ox pond in downtown Nashua this morning. a dozen or so the biggest being only 13 inches. I fished only about 1/3 of it. My plan was to head directly to the other side but there was already 3 people on shore and 2 kayaks so i fished the end i had already fished yesterday but fished it more thorough and deeper into the weeds. Same result as yesterday. lots of little pick ups and small fish. Will hit the other side before work one morning next week. Its a hidden little place that i never knew about till a month ago, and i have lived here for 50 yrs !!! It is sandwiched between the Nashua Canal and lower part of the Nashua river. Its about a 4 minute walk with the canoe on wheels down a dirt travel way. It is accessed from a dirt road in back of the old Millyard. Good for a quick trip before work. I can get out of the water be loaded and ready to go to work 4 minutes away into downtown. My buddies hit Baboosic this morning but i had to work before 8 am. there has to be some bigger ones in there , i just have to find them.- Who Wants In New England: May
Shane , lets see some more big girls. Its almost the end of the month.- Who Wants In New England: May

Sorry cannot think straight, the Bruins are in game 7 with Montreal !!!- Who Wants In New England: May
bunch of 16 - 18 this morning, and 1 - 19 or so inch. fished Mill pond (to quote Shane --- salad bowl) in Nashua for a couple hours this morning , most of these guys i pulled out of the edge of the heavy weeds that is overcrowding this place. Its already pretty heavy and dense. Droppped weightless Rage tail to the edges and just let them fall.- Whats The Deal With B.a.s.s?
