  5. There are lots of fish in the river, You have to learn it as it is so big. My 6 - 7 LM and my 4 - 1 SM come from there. close to the Stellos dam
  6. There are only 2 public launches on the Nashua river at the upper side. Above the dam at Stellos and off of Natick street which is off of braod street. I do not know of any other public launches. There are private land places to put in if you know someone. From Stellos you can get up to Runnells bridge in Hollis. Then it gets too rocky

  17. Thank You I am mainly LMB and SMB fishing in lakes and rivers. depth wise probably up to 50 feet? but mostly less than 20ish. What if i decided to go Salmon or Lake Trout fishing ? The sonar has no idea what kind of fish you are fishing for I was going for if i wanted to look at 125 feet down, but it was a comment good for a quick laugh. What unit are you using? These are a screen shot of a split screen? How does side imaging look ? Much the same? Do you believe fish can hear low power sonar such as this ? Does it matter?
  18. I currently have a very simple Eagle ,,Gives me depth and water surface temp. I did a little looking at manufacturer sites for some info. Pretty simple , if i could spend $400ish on one what would be your recommendations ? if i went to $600ish, worth the difference ? SI ? Side imaging ? does this really do like it seems? I can see sideways, can i really see fish and structure, brush etc. DI ? Down imaging ? i understand the basic principles of my 15 yr old one i currently have. But what about the new stuff.? Dual beam... simple 2 different widths that are possible to read ? and gets wider as it gets deeper. peak to peak watts ... I am mainly LMB and SMB fishing in lakes and rivers. depth wise probably up to 50 feet? but mostly less than 20ish. What if i decided to go Salmon or Lake Trout fishing ? are there any , must have accessories that are typically not included that one would not normally hear about till later? I have also heard , dont mount the transducer it to trolling motor and make sure you power it with a second battery , not the trolling battery ? Basically i am looking for links already posted and info. I have not even started to save for one. thoughts ?
  19. Did not weigh them, they were fat , most of them , even the smallies were fat. easy to get a length by setting it on the canoe crossmember i just made. makes pics quick and easy. no need to weigh them at this size. was for sure not 4+ . i stopped keeping a log book of what , when , where ,conditions, size of what i catch. Just enjoying fishing itself. Many were caught fishing a white top water weedless mouse, many were caught with a keel weighted rage craw off of the bottom, redish color, dont remember the exact color name. No electronics to look for hidden underwater cover, so we just fished what looked like it should hold some fish. to the edges of the faster moving water, most of it was at areas with under water grass.
  20. Bob, where is Lovell ? a bunch of these this morning at the Nashua river (this is the longest one) and 12 smallmouth to go with them tonight. (The biggest smallmouth was 15 1/2) was up at the Merrimack river up in the Concord area for the smallmouth tonight. Nothing big but still some fun fishing with the 14 yr old in the canoe Lets hope this is not the biggest of Sept.
