  1. Here in Florida where most of the lakes are relativly shallow, [except for a few] every angler I fish with has one tied on. Mike
  2. Bottom contours and composition. MIke4
  3. When you see it coming it's time to go boy's...Been hearing about this way too often. Mike
  4. Scum frog Mike
  5. San Diego Jam for all lines except braid. For that it's a Palomar. Mike
  6. Both... I shake at some point all soft plactics regardless of what rod I'm useing. In more open water areas I'll use a spinning rod with 20# braid and floro leader, and mostly rig a soft jerk bait wacky STYLE. But I'm shaking all bottom contact plastics and jig's with a med to heavy casting outfit regarless. Mike

  8. Depending on clarity...Blue/Chrome & Black/Silver Mike
  9. I haven't had a outing like that in awhile... Sometimes going fishin just to go fishin is the best time you can have. Good Job! Mike

I use Reaction Innov Sweet Beaver for punching and stand alone, and a Net Bait Paca Craw as a jig trailer. Mike
  11. Other than the canals off Burnt Store Rd thats on your list, there area couple of others that I hit every once in awhile but they're in Charlotte Co. Continue on Burnt Store, just past Zemel Rd there is an abandoned sub division on your left called Tern Bay. There are a few ponds in there that you can fish from shore. Most are on the small side tho. Also try Webb Lake off Tuckers Grade Blvd exit of I 75. There are 2 small marl ponds on the right as you come in that is great for blue gill, never caught a bass there. The pond on your left and one past the stop sign on the right have bass. Of Course fish Webb itself. Once you pass the stop sign turn right and follow the road around. It's goes for about 3 miles with a new boat dock, boat ramps and picnic ares you can fish from.. Mike
  12. Agree... It's like a lot of things, the more you start out with, the more you'll end up with... Been useing the SDJ for everything but braid. Very strong and easy to tie. Mike
  13. Just got a Phenix 7' 2" XF spinning rod for shakey and wacky rigging... Don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. Mike
  14. Am I useing the right bait? Did I throw it at the right spot? Too Fast Dummy!, Too Fast!! OK what am I gonna try next, Man it looks good here, Bears better win this week!! 7 months 24 days to retiring!!!! Mike
  15. d**n right you'e beat this!!! You're on your way...Keep the faith Brother. God Bless You Mike
  16. I just got my 3rd Phenix rod [X11 composite] and couldn't be happier... I have 2 M1's, a spinning and a MH/F casting. Check them out, Don't think you'll be sorry. Mike
  17. I've been useing the Booyah almost exclusively lately because I like the action much better than the Z Man which is the only other brand I've tried. I have noticed that the fexible shank has been a problem but only if they jump. I've found no difference in hooking up tho. Mike
  18. Ever since I signed on here, and read about it, I wished I was able to go to one. Well since I'm retiring in 8 months and 1 day I'll finally be able too!! Looking forward to it. Mike
  19. I range from... 30# pp braid on my frog rod and 50 on my punch set up... 12# Yo Zuri on spinner / chatter rod 15# floro for shallow, mid range cranks and plastic's. 20# floro for jigs Mike
  20. Check out The Phenix "X" series composite crank rods. Just got my 3rd Phenix rod and very impressed.. Mike
  21. Improvise, Overcome, Adapt... Rules, der ain't no stinkin rules!! I wish there were, it would make our lives much easier. Just follow along and get in line. For some reason I really don't think we'd like that very much. I know I wouldn't. That's what I love about Bass fishing, it's the color, speed, action, water, weather, size, approach, angles, line size, etc etc. It doesn't end. When I first moved to Florida all everyone I knew wanted to fish was salt water...Just throw something out there and you'll catch something. Don't know what, but you'll catch something...If you didn't care and were'nt targeting anything specific, you did. Mike
  22. I know some VERY good fisherman who swear by them. They won't throw a crank of any size, in any condition without one, and it's ussually only on the front. I tried it a few times, and still have a few rigged, but honestly I don't see a difference. Mike
  23. When I saw your heading I knew exactly how to advise you until I saw all the answers given already. Now I can't... Mike

For me white is the first choice for spinnerbait's, chatterbait's, flukes, and sq. bills. Mike
