Pitching Weeds - Braid With A Fluoro Leader?
I pitch with my spinning outfit in scattered grass with 20# braid and a 10# floro leader all the time, but never tried it with as heavy of a rig as you're asking about. Thats something to think about. Thanks Mike

Senko Rig
On a 6" Yamamoto Senko about 1 1/2" up. On the fatter BPS ones a little longer. Tip...Take the time to make sure it is cut directly in the middle... Also, when the bite is really tough spit the split, and while you're retrieving back to the boat give it a small jerk every so often, especially as it gets closer to the boat. I did this at a tourn 2 weeks ago and it saved my day. Mike

Senko Rig
The most success I've had is by rigging with the fat end and split the tail end. Try that Mike

Bass Fishing With A Bad Back.
I've had back problems since i was 19 after jumping head first off a dock which, unbeknownst to me was on a sand bar!. I fractured the C3 vertebra. That was 1968 just before taking my draft physical. (it probably saved my life as everyone I knew was being sent to Viet Nam at the time] Anyway, as the years went by it became harder to stand, sit or lay down in one spot for very long. as a disc in my lower back, L4 L5 became herniated. About 10 years ago it became so bad I started a steroid epidural procedure that helped...then it didn't. On Dec 19 of last year I had spinal fusion surgery. I now have 4 pins, 2 screws and the minerals from a cadaver to help regenerate the bone. I'll tell you that surgery really knocked me down for a while but after 3 months I was back fishing. I'm a co angler, and I tell every boater I'm with an abbreveated story and they all were overly cautious running around a lake. I am now pain free, but do get stiff now and then but it's no big deal. Everytime I see the surgeon I give him a hug. The best advise I can give is echo what a few have already told you...Don't wait, get it checked, find the best surgeon you can. Even if you have to travel to find one. Don't mess around with it. If you have a disc, vetebre problem or even built up arthritis it won't go away on it's own. Good Luck Mike

Hard Jerkbait Vs Fluke?
Super flukes especially in the spring and this time of the year are my next choice after a frog, allway's. I use a small barrel swivel and sometimes a small split shot about 2 ft up,. The weight of both keeps the fluke down a little if I 'm not skimming it across the top. Mike

Polarized Sunglasses
The Costa 580's are amazing! [for 200.00 they better be] I'm sure the Oakley's, Strike King, Wiley's etc are equaling so. I also wear the Berkely's every day while driving in the Fla sun, and I'm afraid to wear them on the water just in case I like them better Mike

Duh!! Why Didn't I Think Of That
Only one! Tie a swivel to the end of your line and hook to a stationary oblject, walk backwards to take the twist out your line when you don't have a boat to unspool. Mike

Sarasota, Fl
Doc... If at some point you want to take a ride south, the places 0119 suggested are all good. If you change your mind, PM me and I'll give you some ponds, canal's and a few lakes in No. Port and Charlotte Co that you can try also. Mike

Electrical Tape On Wacky Rig
All good suggestions... I use the O rings you can find at any craft store. Useing them saves the bait as the hook goes between it and the rubber O ring. No reason to buy the special tool to put it on, all you really need is the bottom half of a ball point pen. Mike

One Standard Line...
Sorry to say I've pretty much given up useing mono. I started and learned on that but over the years all the new technology in lines kinda got me. I use braid now for frog's and soft swim bait's [skinny dippers etc] Yo Zuri for all moving baits Floro for all bottom contact. Mike
