  1. Yeah Shaneus can't wait to see those pics of the camp.
  2. Catt is spot on!
  3. I did not bed fish, that is one of my weakness' due to the fact that I am not able to have the opportunity to do it when it happens, so I fished my strengths. Interesting thing though, is that the entire top 10 field were bed fishing and I know 3 that were not in the top 10 ahead of me were bed fishing as well. So to do what I did without bed fishing is pretty darn good. But I need to go bed fish. I wish I could be there this week, because it would not matter if it was a 1lb fish or a 10lb fish, I would go by hundreds of white and pink baits and get after it.
  4. FLW update on Toledo. Well guys I ended up in 15th place on the old Bend. She was good to me Thursday, but difficult on Friday, missed the top ten cut by 3 pounds. Had over 18 on Thursday and was sitting in 7th place after day one and then had 14+ on Friday. I ran a lot of water on Thursday and Friday. That cool front that blew threw on Tuesday and into Wednesday had all the bed fisherman scrambling on Thursday except for a few. As I stated it was a cool front and not a cold front, so during the evening of Thursday and clear night they moved shallow and it was a bed fisherman's day. 29+ was brought to the scales on Friday. I fished my butt off, can't wait to get back. If you are on the bed this week, you better be shallow because that is where they are now.

  14. my first taste of the big bend was in the spring of 90. I was attending college in Shreveport at Centenary College on a baseball scholarship. I became real good friends with an umpire that called our games. We went fishing a lot around the area fishing a lot of backwater sloughs and what not. We took a three day weekend and fished the bend. He had a good ole stick steer boat and I was in the back. I remember fishing one particular area and he turned the boat to the left just a bit and allowed me to fire a long cast past this log with a spinnerbait. I slow rolled that bait by that laydown and WHAM and 5.5 lber. I remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks for bring back the memory Catt
