  1. Hi LazyBASS, I usually go whenever I can, which is usually 6 am - 11 am and 6 pm - ? As for the days, it's really scattered. Whenever I don't have work. I usually go at least one of the weekend days. I'd love to hit you up for some fishing. I have met several dudes over there that I see somewhat regularly. Dan the Man, Brad, Devon, Steve.... I see some other regulars too but haven't had a chance to introduce myself. My name is Steve in case you say "Hi." Maybe I'll see you one of these days, if anything it will be Saturdays soon as the gates open. I have a frog but have never succeeded with it at El Do hehe. Sometimes you just have to change it up if they aren't hitting it. Good luck!
  2. What does line twists mean?
  3. Ah, makes a ton of sense now. THANK YOU!!!
  4. Sorry for the newbie question but when using a Fish finder to locate fish, how do you know they are Bass when you meter fish?
  5. Try some top water poppers if they aren't hitting on the frog. When do you guys go out to El Do? I live about 15-20 min and usually go solo.
  6. awesome, thanks guys
  7. that's the ticket! Sorry I am stupid but am having a hard time picturing this, which jigs are like this? have any pictures? Thanks!
  8. I am going to try this, I have this same exact problem. I will goto my heavily pressured home pond and catch only 1 fish or get skunked. But when I get 1 fish, I can't seem to get a 2nd one, ANYWHERE on the pond >
  9. I haven't had good luck with them in weeds, no. They hang a lot more than a football or ball head. On another note, I fished the Owner Shakey head this weekend, and really like the way it fishes with a smaller worm. I had a really good hook-up rate with that head, as good or better than my usual head. The owner shakey head is good in the heavy weeds also? I wasn't in what I'd call super heavy weeds, but there was some salad and the Owner head worked just fine. Minimal hangups through the day. Thanks buddy.
  10. thanks for the replies guys, I ordered a footloose and the baby -1. Will take a look at these other ones for different colors.

  12. Are these megastrike shakey head jigs good for heavy weeds? Want to test it for that but don't want to pull in weeds every cast?
  13. Love the look on those and they dive from 0-1 feet, might be the exact crank I been looking for. Thanks!
  14. Will definitely check these out. Thanks
  15. So this pond is heavily packed with weeds, any suggestions on a crankbait that will only swim down to a foot so it won't pick up any weeds?
  16. they used bluegill as bait? Think thats a no no.
  17. those megastrike ones look amazing.
  18. Not penetrating any cover, what do you guys suggest on weight size? Also are the screw-in weights no good for this?
  19. how do you fish this? Cast, let it drop to desire depth, reel and jerk it, let it fall back down, reeel and jerk it , rinse and repeat?
  20. ah gotcha, ok I know what Fluorocarbon is. Thanks
  21. Sorry to be a newbie but what does FC mean?
  22. Will definitely read this. Thanks!
  23. Great info!! Using jigs at my local city park isn't very likely, every cast I pick up moss and tons of weeds(even with weed guard). I like the swimbait idea but it would have to be weedless, not sure who makes these? I mainly suggested the T-Rig because using any type of lure I will pick up weeds on every cast. I bought a pack of robo craws and will probably try that next. Roadwarrior - Thanks for the links, I will read them over. SJB - Thanks for the info!
