I was just looking around at the rods that all of you suggested and then I found this one. I mean if its a good rod why not get it instead because its so much cheaper. But I was just wanting to see if anyone had any experience using it.

Just wondering, is the Abu Garcia Veritas a decent rod?

That would be correct, my price range is under $300. And I did spell acceptable right by the way.

To be honest I want a decent setup for any price. The price of the carbonlite and Powell 703c is acceptable.

I am willing to spend some money because this is gonna be my go to rod.

First things first, this is my first post on these forums and I would just like to say hello to all. I have been using a spinner set up for a while now a just got the interest to use a baitcaster. What would be a good setup for myself considering that I mainly throw jigs, senkos soft bait etc., and frogs. Price range would not be too limited but also not crazy expensive. Thanks.
