  1. The Ned seems to catch fish every where I go, but 90 percent are dinks...maybe it is just the water I fish...or Maybe its Ned. It's the water you're fishing, tough to catch anything but dinks when that's about all there is It certainly catches dinks, but big ones eat it surprisingly often.
  2. Steve Harvey is an avid fisherman.
  3. I think we should be fine but you can bring it if you want to have it just in case.
  4. First time I was out there I caught a limit of saugeye pitching a 6" black power lizard at the docks. They aren't real hard to catch out there in my limited experience on the lake.
  5. I've got a Black and Decker that I really like with a lifetime filter in it so I don't have to change out paper filters all the time. I tried a cheap one from Wal Mart but it never got the coffee very hot?
  6. It's just really close to the camera, still big though. Lingcod have terrible attitudes and will attack fish bigger than them. Check out some Youtube videos on them, some that even get netted after latching onto a hooked fish and refusing to let go despite not even being hooked themselves. Supposed to be terrific eating too.
  7. Fish of 10,000 cast, pfft! We caught 9 in 2.5 days, in Missouri, and we weren't even fishing for them Biggest was 42".
  8. St. Croix Mojo "Big Crankster" with a supertuned 200B5 Curado and 10lb Big Game, awesome deep cranking setup.
  9. swinging football head or shakyhead. They're great weightless too.
  10. Swimming Fluke on a spinnerbait. You're welcome
  11. locktite gel, grey bottle with a blue lid. I use it for keeping Zman baits where I want them on my rigs.
  12. I've heard of others having similar problems. I had a couple older shimano rods, liked them and never had a problem, but I won't be buying another from the problems I keep hearing about.
  13. Absolutely in those kinds of lakes. I'm fishing in KS, which is so well known for it's trophy bass I've never caught one over 8 let alone 10 in my home state. My favorite in lakes like you're describing are big wake baits like rats or slammers (slammers are great on Table Rock so I know they'll work in the type of lakes you're describing). On Table Rock I like to fish them along docks, points, through and over the top of standing trees. Regular big plastic swimmers will work too. The same places you fish the smaller baits, points, rock piles, ledges, docks, all good places to try. Normally low and slow is the way to go. The plastic swimmers tend to be best in colder water, then switch to the hard baits as it warms up. Like I said, it doesn't take a big fish to attack a big bait. 9" Slammer, 13" largemouth.
  14. Doesn't look too hot, considering he's wearing a hooded sweatshirt That's a pig for sure!
  15. Unless you're fishing a tournament why keep catching the same fish off a bed? Too much stress can kill a fish just like it can any animal and they're already very stressed during the spawn, leave him alone.
  16. If they're keeping fish that are too small or over their limit, report them. If not there's nothing you can do about it. Don't confront them yourself if they are breaking the law though, that ends badly for you 100% of the time.
  17. I found a Rodney Rattler in a tree at Olathe today. You didn't lose one out there did you?? It'll be on Ebay later, we'll start the bidding at $50
  18. Doesn't even seem like a big bait anymore either
  19. Olathe has been on fire the last couple days despite the cold front. The home made bladed jig and shakyheads has been producing most fish but they're eating a bit of everything from jigs to topwater. No monsters, but some nice chunky fish, not all bass either. Got my first fish on my 9" Slammer too. Also caught a really nice saugeye that went 3.15lbs.
  20. We fished from one end to the other and launched from the far north ramp on the west side of the lake. I think we were a couple coves up from the north ramp on the east side when we saw you. We were in a 16' Lowe Roughneck, kind of army green colored aluminum boat, 2 guys and a dog in the boat.
  21. A hinged football jighead. It's an awesome way to present most plastics but seems to work especially well with creature baits of all kinds.
  22. I don't know about northerns but Minnetonka has some monster muskie.
  23. World record is 82.6lbs best I can find.
  24. Texas rig, C-rig, and quickly becoming my favorite, a swinging football head
