Never Get Bites
Some more info would help like others have said. If you're fishing right now it's been really hot and even the best guys struggle at times during the heat of the summer and the fall transition times when fish really scatter out. Read up on the articles on here and Bassresource's videos are your friend, watch them and put those lessons into action and you're sure to start catching more bass.

How Do You Fish?
I I could catch fish consistently, every day with a 1/2oz brush jig, life would be good.

This Doesn't Seem Right..
I just replied trying to scam a police officer probably isn't the best idea, haven't gotten any response

Rip Bud The Catfish
I think he meant the date it was added to the tank, not the actual length, but you already said it was in there since the store opened. 150 pounder would be way longer than 4' long too. My PB blue cat was about 4' long and nowhere near 150lbs. The old world record (130lbs) was 57" long and very fat. That monster would be at least 5' long! There's some still out there swimming in our lakes and rivers, I'd sure love to hook one that size

This Doesn't Seem Right..
That's what I figured but like I said I never sell anything online, other than on here. I know Craigslist is pretty infamous for scammers too.

This Doesn't Seem Right..
With a baby on the way and money being pretty tight I recently put my boat on Craigslist planning on selling it only if someone was willing to pay what I'm asking (it's paid off and I really don't want to sell it but it would make things a lot easier on us right now). Anyways, I got this reply today; Hello! let's do like this, actually now I'm not in town for now, I came to visit my son so i wont be able to meet with you but am ok with the condition as seen on the advert, I'll proceed in issuing a Check out to you and when you received the check , I will make arrangement for pick-up. So get back to me with below details asap. Name: Address: City: State: Postal Code: Phone Number: Last Asking Price: And as soon as this is provided, the payment will be overnight to you and i will let you know when its mailed out. I need you to be honest with the sale as I am a God fearing person. I can't imagine someone willing to make a purchase on something like a used boat without ever seeing it first? Maybe it's just because of my line of work that I'm always a little suspicious, or maybe it's because I don't really want to sell my boat. Seems like maybe this person might have included some info on themselves somewhere?? I've only ever sold 2 boats and both were face to face, cash exchange deals. What do you guys think?

Shimano Reel
Don't know anything about the rod but the reel used to sell for 39.99 so if it's in good condition the reel alone was a good deal. I'd probably put some 8lb mono on it and you'll be good to go for most anything you'd want to fish on that combo.

Wearing Gloves While Fishing?
My gloves usually don't get very wet, even when I'm catching lots of fish. The ones I wear are all fleece and fingerless so there really isn't much slime coat damage. You can always take them off to land a fish too, I've seen plenty of guys do that.

Clear Water Spinnerbait Help.
3/8oz War Eagle with tandem blades, gold colorado/silver willowleaf, in sexy mouse or spot remover color. For really clear water I go with the 1/2oz Screaming Eagle with double silver willowleafs in the same color.

The Next Generation!
I promise Santa knows were both of them are, he spends a lot of time there already. I don't think anything will match Jon telling me on the phone how he'd found a box with a TW order he'd forgotten about in his garage. When he said "Santa came early this year!" and I heard his daughter, 4 year old Emma in the background respond with an excited "He did!!?" I couldn't breath I was laughing so hard, and he was doing a lot of explaining on the other end

Rip Bud The Catfish
Did they age the fish after it had died? I know catfish live a long time but 65 is extremely old. We lost a couple big ones when I worked at Cabelas in KC. When one of the old blue cat records was caught that weighed 123 pounds the guy donated to us but poor handling before we got there was more than that fish could handle. A 50lb flathead that I donated to the tank had a bad habit of ignoring the bluegills and sunfish in favor of other aquarium fish. After she ate a couple small northerns (hard to get in Kansas) a couple mid range largemouth and smallmouth, a 9 pound walleye, and a 7lb channel cat (that she caught tail first and held onto for 3 days before the channel died so she could eat it) I had to fish her back out of the tank and release her back into the lake she came from so her rein of terror would stop

Found It On Youtube What Do U Think
Look like largemouth to me, the ones that could be seen very clearly at least. That shallow, mud bottom pond certainly doesn't scream smallmouth habitat to me. I'm guessing anyone that refers to a bass as "A tasty treat" probably couldn't tell what kind it was anyhow.

Kc Area Fall Get Together 2013
Don't know if we'll need a grill but we'll need charcoal for sure.

I May Never Cast Again
I'd much rather pitch than cast also, probably because it's target fishing and usually involves stout gear.

Amazing How 95 Degrees Feels Cool
It finally made it to 100 degrees for the first time all summer and the weather people are all going on and on about the sweltering heat I can't think of another summer I would have given anything for it to only get to 95 for a high! Had a heck of a storm this morning though, knocked power off in the building for a minute with some of the heaviest rain I've seen in a long time and almost nonstop lightning flashes along with 50-60 mph winds. Thanks to our ever so accurate weather people and their 20% chance of light rain they were calling for, I left my windows cracked on my truck in the parking lot at work It rained and blew so hard that I water all across the dash of my truck and bench seat and even on the inside of my windshield.

Copperheads
Snakes feel for larger animals/threats through vibrations. If you're in an area where you think there may be snakes you can stomp your feet so they have a chance to get out of the way. A long stick is good for redirecting any that you come across that don't move. As much as I spend time on the water I've only ever seen one copperhead and one water moccasin. Cottonmouths are extremely rare in our area, copperheads are more common but are very spooky and tend to make themselves scarce when people are around. I honestly worry much more about my dog finding one than myself getting bit.

Lucky Craft
Bad thing is they got rid of some of some of my favorite colors and now they're a dollar more apiece, in the TO line at BPS anyways.

Boiling Swimbait Tails
It does make the plastic softer. Youtube is your friend on this one. I could explain how to do it but there's some great videos of guys demonstrating the hows and whys of boiling them.

Wearing Gloves While Fishing?
Do you mean you're worried about them getting wet, removing the slime from the fish, or something else? Mine get a little damp around my thumb if I'm catching lots of fish but they'll still keep your hands surprisingly warm even if they're a little wet, way better than exposed hands for sure.

Whats A Good Rod And Reel?
Pretty tough to get a decent 2 piece casting rod anymore. You might check out the Bass Pro Bionic Blade combo for $140, they're available in a 2 piece and are nice rods. I have no idea about the reel but Bass Pro backs there name brand stuff so if something did go wrong with it you should be able to get it replaced.

Coffee!!
It certainly doesn't seem to repel them and it masks other scents, plus it smells WAY better than some other baits (power worms or Keitech swing impacts for instance). I don't see why you couldn't try to get your baits to soak up some of the scent. Just use some of your favorites so you're using something you know works.

The Next Generation!
Hopefully he has a new fishing pole on his list. He had one of the Skeet Reese spincasting combos but the thing would hardly cast or reel. Luckily I brought a 6' L St Croix Triumph with a 1000 Stradic so he could try fishing a spinning reel if he wanted. He got the hang of it pretty fast and since he's 5 now he's probably old enough to graduate to a spinning combo.

Bass Pro Shop Trip!
Be thankful it's far enough away you have to plan a special trip there. I have 2 Bass Pros, Cabela's, 1 Academy and soon to be another, all within 30 minutes of my house Probably why my back always hurts, I can't ever get the monkey off of me.
