To be honest, IM pretty set on getting the Veritas. Right now Im just trying to find a reel that cost no more than $45. Im going mostly on reviews. But..Im still open to any suggestions.

What about using a barrel swivel? May be a stupid question but...it seems somewhat logical. Maybe Im just not seeing the problems with it?

I have thought about it. But im unsure as too how to connect the 2 lines. And how many feet of mono should I use as a leader?

I cant decide what line to use for largemouth fishing. I love how braided line has low memory but I dont care for the fact that it doesnt have any stretch and can pull the bait right out of the fishes mouth when setting the hook. And I love how mono has a decent amount of stretch.......but it also has somewhat of a memory and comes off the reel in loops. So what type of line would you reccomend? Im using a spinning reel and fish plastic worms most often. Thanks for any help guys!

I was thinking about pairing up the Abu Garcia Spinning Rod with the Cabelas Tournement ZX. I was just wondering if anyone had anyone experience with either of these and would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks guys!
