  1. My home lake is turning over right now. I went out last weekend and threw the arsenal at them for two hours without a bite. Finally found the fish extremely tight to cover (wood on this specific lake). Had to finesse them out of the brush. Ended up with 10 keepers. Weightless wacky watermelon senko (pretty clear water). It was a nightmare to fish in brush but very productive. Good luck!

  3. When I take my daughter out fishing usually its on unfamiliar bodies of water.(Vacations, friends property ponds, etc.) It never fails. Old school minnows and bobbers from the bait store. I'm a tourney angler and I bet others will agree that live bait will help you at least identify where the fish are at on these unfamiliar bodies of water from the bank.
  4. Ran into the same thing last Sunday. Chased bait fish in the shallows, did not get a bite. We moved out of the same pocket to the main lake point and started catching fish. Still a shallow bite but for some reason they wanted to be near the deeper water. Hope that helps.
  5. For me, at this time of the year I will plan to be on the water after a good rain or storm front. It seams to kick off the fall bite here in OK.
