My 2012 FLHTK is lonely. I need to get it a friend. I tend not to care much for Rice Bikes so those are pretty much out. I'm thinking of perhaps getting a nice European bike to keep it company. Perhaps a Ducati Monster, Aprilla Rally, or a BMW. Any of yall have any suggestions. PS. I love my Harley. I just spent 13 hours on it and put a little over 1000 more miles in two days on her. The stock seat is garbage and will be replaced with my next check. Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

While traveling through Indiana minding my own business. I was pulled over while riding 57 in a 65. Apparently a car length is considered following too closely. Anyway, I was passing traffic from the middle lane in the far left lane. Well someone driving a 1980s Accord decided that the passing lane is their own personal lane of travel. They were doing a whopping 57 also. I informed the trooper thay I was attempting to pass traffic from the center lane, and that yes I was actually in a hurry. I was trying to get back down to Alabama. Then I am asked the question of why I didn't just pass the car ahead of me by using the center lane. Well I informed the trooper that passing on the right hand side was illegal. To which Mr. Know It All, ask just where we think we are that, that is illeagal. My fiancée chimes in that we are in Indianapolis, and that being we are sitting on the side of an interstate, federal law dictates that it is illegal on all federal roads regardless of state. Well this irritates the hell out of him and he storms off back to his car. After a quick Google search I also discover it is illegal to use the far left lane as a travel lane since it is a passing lane, according to Indiana state law. A fact I was unable to share with the delightful fellow, because he decided to give me a warning for following too close, and then had the gall to write me a seat belt ticket. I was actually wearing my seat belt for once. I removed it before he reached the car so as to have my drivers license ready upon his arrival at the window. Upon reading my ticket, under my statistics he entered my race as black. I am bronze, my drivers license states I'm white. However, according to Indiana apparently i am now black. I just may have to get the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton on speed dial now, just in case.....

When I was 7 I discovered my dad's Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper albums. I listened to them until they were completely worn out. I also listened to alot of Southern Rock with my dad. At the ripe old age of 9 I discovered Sound Garten, The Offspring, Anthrax, and Metallica. The Offspring has remained one of my favorite bands of all time and has greatly influenced my musical taste as well as my outlook on life. It was that first introduction to punk rock that had me craving more. Green Day blew up around the same time as the Offspring. However, EVERYONE, listened to Green Day and I didn't become a fan of theirs until much later. The Offspring led me into punk and it's later subgenres. Much of which I still regularly listen to today. Especially, Ska, Gutter Punk, Hardcore, Gutter Ska, Crust, and Anarcho Punk. The ideals and views talked about in these forms of music are still very much part of my philosophy on life. Metallica was a stepping stone or a gateway if you will. They expanded on the metal sound which I had grown up listening to. From there I branched into Black Metal, Death Metal, Grindcore, and what not. Eventually, I outgrew Metallica. Especially around the time of the Napster incident. Their sound changed and they just weren't loud enough anymore. As for metal I now mainly listen to Black metal, Death metal, and Heavy metal.
