  1. Today a friend of mine and I were talking about unfortunate injuries inflicted on fish every now and then when we are practicing catch and release. He told me that if you pour Mountain Dew on the wound the citric acid in the soda will constrict the fish's blood vessels and can possibly help it make it through certain injuries. You guys ever heard this before?

  3. Welcome! And happy holidays!
  4. Welcome to BR!
  5. Welcome, this place is great! You'll find everything you need here.
  6. Anyone know of or a part of a Kansas City, MO area bass club? I'm looking for a club accepting nonboaters for this spring. Any info you guys could pass onto me would be appreciated!
  7. Black and white buzzbaits are very productive topwater baits. I'd buy one of each as soon as you get the worms, cranks, and spinners mastered.
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! RandySBreth, I'd really appreciate some info on good smallmouth! I've been wanting to try some of the small streams around.
  9. Hey everybody! My Name is Brent. I'm originally from Kansas City, MO, but I am currently going to school in Springfield, MO majoring in Wildlife Management and Conservation. I'm fairly new to bass fishing and I really started fishing specifically for bass about 2 years ago. I currently do not own a boat, but hope to have atleast a jon boat by this summer. College tends to suck the money right out of your bank account, so money that I can put towards my obsession is kind of tight. Right now I currently own 2 descent bait casting set ups... :-[. Sad right? I love to fish any oppertunity I can get, but I'm mainly have been hopping around to different small lakes with friends. I'd love to start fishing tournaments some day, but right now I'm just looking to improve and learn as much as I can. It looks like a good community of guys on this forum, so I hope to stick around and learn from all of you.
