How many rods is considered a good amount to carry onto the boat as a non-boater and if only a few what Rods would you take?

Any idea what year the STX is? Many '09's were blown out for $99 or so. The '10's have yet to be in that range. Either are very good reels, but you shouldn't have trouble finding '09's used for $100 or less. yea what he said!!!!!

As long as the reel is in great shape this is a great deal! The STX is only a notch under the PREMIER (top of the line). GET IT!

I would have to agree. All of mine have a tad bit more stiffness than usual, not to much just a tad. I'm beginning to think it has to do with the new NANO Technology. Overall these rods are great, especially for the price!

Fishing trends are just that, TRENDS. Just like clothing. Everyone wants what everyone is talking about and whatever may be the craze at that time. But if you wait long enough you will find that what ever you own will become trendy again. Its a way to keep the consumer thinking they need to buy and/or replace what they are currently using. In the end as long as I keep getting them green things with fins on the end of my line "Im Happy". I cant wait for the FLYING LURE to make a run at it again. lmao ;D

I have decided to get a few REVOS for my arsenal and was wondering what you guys liked about them. Also what reels do you like for what applications (SX, STX, or Premier) and what ratios for what applications.

Agree! I had a chance to compare in store the Vendetta, Veritas, and the Verdict yesterday at my local BassPro. As you moved up from the Vendetta you could notice weight reduction and it seemed like the rods got more sensitive. Doesn't really mean much not having fished with them but I could tell a difference none the less.
