  1. That's exactly what I'm going after "Coverage". I think we need to bring some more excitement to BASS fishing in general as far as coverage! A few more personalities like Iaconelli wouldn't hurt the sport. All of us on here who fish for BASS know how rewarding and exciting Bass fishing is but with today's technology and communication possibilities I think more should be done for promoting our sport. For those who say ESPN has ruined BASS please explain why! I'm not trying to stir up a controversy I just want to try and understand where you may be coming from.
  2. I am looking for a boater to register with in either the Weekend series (maryland) or the BFL (shenandoah) events this year. I have experience bass fishing (local club) and would be more than happy to help out with expenses. Please PM if this appeals to anyone! Thanks Jason
  3. I am looking for a boater who plans on fishing either the Weekend series (Maryland) or the BFL (shenandoha) to become a non-boater to fish with. I have experience bass fishing (club as a non-boater) but no ride! PM me if interested in helping out. Thanks Jason
  4. Just trying to have a little fun while I stare at the snow out of my window, anticipating that first hook up of the season!
  5. What bass tour appeals more to you and why?
  6. That would make it that much better of a combo! In my past experience though, you should be ready to purchase right away because they go fast!
  7. I own 3 of these combos. I know a lot of people say you get what you pay for and I also live by this slogan. With that being said I have to say these combos have met all my expectations and a lot more. I have been using them for 1 1/2 years now and have no complaints. Well worth the money! Like you I bought these combos when I first got into tournament fishing. I wanted a combo that offered a good amount of rod options and did not break the bank which in turn allowed me to be able to purchase several rods, as is needed for tournament fishing. The reels have a good gear ratio, great balance, im7 graphite which is pretty sensative and overall just a good look to it. Overalll I dont think you will be dissapointed. I would like to add however, as you progress in your bass fishing and baitcasting skills you will find yourself wanting to upgrade to maybe some lighter more sensative combos. After I realized how much I enjoyed tournament fishing I added a couple Daiwa Zillion Reels paired with Daiwa Tough and Lite Rod combos to my arsenal. I now use my BP Tourney Specials strictly for crankin and spinnerbaits and my Daiwas for Jiggin/Wormin and Finesse techniques. I dont think you will be dissapointed if you happen to get the Tourney Specials!
  8. Was wondering if anyone has fished in either one of these weekend series as a boater or non-boater and if so how was your experience.
  9. JPBassin replied to lynyrdsky1's topic in Bass Clubs
I just joined my first club this year as well, also as a nonboater. I have actually been trying to get in this club for 2 years now. Seems like unless you have a boat its tuff to get into a club. Lukely 2 nonboaters decided not to fish this year so I jumped in. I wish you Luck this year and Im sure like myself you caint wait to show your skills from the "Back".
