Had a guy fall inlove with the rod I built my self for the trout derby and offered to buy it off me. After refusing he handed me some cash and said " build me one this should get you started" he pawed threw my mudhole catalog picked out a different reel seat then mine and said do gold/yellow and black. So this is what I came up with. Going to do a wrap of the yellow/black tiger thread under the front grip and butt so that its visible threw the window. It's built on a MHX S842-2 blank and then microwave guides with Tigold hook keeper. Time to stop fishing everyday and work on this rod considering I'm getting paid for this one.....

My kayak(Johns old kayak) is a beast but wind does suck.

Here in WNY smallies are sitting on beds right now but I'm hammering them in tubes, grubs, flukes, jerk baits. Fishing has slowed down a little already considering they just came into the river two weeks ago and now they are spawning already.

Might have to make a trip either Sunday or Monday out there then. I've never fished Erie other then the bank near tift preserve. I just hope it's not windy it's a hike to go out there and spend the day battling wind in a kayak.

Any tips for going on Erie via kayak

I wanna get out to erie this year I might leave early Monday morning and go since I don't have to be to work till 730pm on Mondays.

I got a rod I'm doing for a buddy and today he asked if I can put his name on it I said I wasn't sure how. So how do I is there a decal I can print off my computer with special paper or order some where. I'd say I could use a paint pen but my hand righting is atrocious.

She is all healed up the left is scared pretty good but she has full use and range of motion with it. Had her fishing this Saturday didn't intend for her to actually fish but she was more into it then the boys they rather throw sticks in the water towards the end and she grabbed my oldest a pole and proceeded to fish with it.

When I first caught it I just snapped a pic unhooked and threw it back thinking pike. After looking back on it I started thinking something isn't right I catch tons of pike and pickerel I know the difference between them and Muskie doesn't even cross my mind in this creek that's why wen looking back at it I got to thinking. I went back and looked at all the pics of fish mostly the toothy ones over the past few years a ton of pike out of the creek not many pickerel they all come from inland lakes it seems but I don't have a single pic of a pike like that which is what led me to look into it being a Muskie.

Since they are spawning in the river and the bites been slowing down anyways I think I'm gonna try the deeper reservoir above the dam thats mostly large mouth and northerns see how I do up top.

2013 ultimate fishing town winner I just looked it up

Not stocked in the area that I know of but it was caught in johnsons creek which is fed by Lake Ontario I was about half a mile from the mouth. If anyone follows the WFN fishing town last years winner or the year before I can't remember which but that town is the town I fish and grew up in and where this lil guy was caught while I was hammering some slob small mouth I got a a jack perch a 3lb smallie and then this guy in 4 casts same spot.

Caught this guy last Monday I say tiger Muskie my buddy and avid fisherman says pike or pickerel. If it is a Muskie it's my first ever and completely unheard of in the waters I caught it that's why he says pike. But it was in a creek fed by Lake Ontario so it's possible.

I've put pics of me clean shaven with out my glasses on and is still guessed 37. The gf loves it in my fit if trying pics I put pics of her and I up together she is 32 I'm 28 most the pics said she was in her low 20s and me still late 30s.

This how old do I look craze blowing up the Internet is ticking me off lol. I've up loaded like 15 pics closest it's got is 7 years off. I'm 28 it says I look 48!!! Most the pics it says I look like I'm in my late 30s

Small mouth are busy spawning now I thought I caught one Wednesday spawned out it was skinny and kinda lazy but today I took the kids fishing seen about 10 beds all with paired smallmouth on them not giving a d**n about anything I threw or the kids.

Crawfish I'd guess and gobies. These are all caught in johnsons creek it's off Lake Ontario in Orleans county ny. That 4-12 hog was caught about .5 mile from the mouth of the creek meets the lake. Mostly 1-3' deep and maybe 30' across at the widest spot.

I get them every year here's a couple I've got wading and kayaking te same creek.
