  1. That boat is a Rick Clunn Edition Nitro. I've heard that those have had delamination issues. I've also heard from quite a few people that with a 70 they can be a real dog. Slow to plane and have a pretty rough ride, even compared to other 16ft boats. Overall not a very good hull design. BUT for the right price I'd buy it. That 70hp Evinrude/Johnson 3 cylinder is a bulletproof motor as long as its getting enough oil. Just looking at the pictures I'd say expect to spend 1-1.5k more after you buy it.
  2. I bought some of the jerkbaits once. COMPLETE garbage. not one would run true. terrible quality paint and components. save yourself the few dollars, time and frusteration.
  3. I use 1oz flipping or grass style Backwater Custom Jigs. Perfect for hauling those slobs out of there.
  4. Ive had musky and pike eat bass before while I was trying to land them, never other bass though.
  5. i think the clarity of the water makes a bigger difference than the depth
  6. A few years ago I saw a jetski literally explode and start on fire while on the lake. The dude got like 2nd degree burns all over his chest.
  7. 4 gauge, while fine, is definitely not necessary. 6 gauge is MUCH cheaper and what is recommended by Minn Kota. I even used 8ga for a short run (batt -> motor) all of last year and had no issue on a 24v system.
  8. that will work fine. tie a good uni-uni knot and get fishin!
  9. hooked a pelican with a spook. A bullfrog on a Rage Craw. A musky on a 15" largemouth. A bald eagle with a perch (real bad time). And one time a very close passing jetski....
  10. If I told ya I'd have to kill you. They're sleepers for a reason
  11. I'll take that emergency MGX off your hands for you. I have plenty of reels that I could trade you that will work just as well sitting in the rod locker.
  12. I've got a few of the SX's and love them all. I beat the hell out of them too without any issues.
