any opinions on backstabber cranks ?
It's a great concept and there's really no reason why it should impact bait presentation at all.

Smelly Jelly VS JJ Magic
JJ's is wicked wicked stuff. It comes in a glass bottle for a reason, it will melt a normal plastic container but there's no doubt it works. I can't even keep it in the house it stinks so good!

What are the smallest lures you use to catch bass?
I wacky rig a 4inch senko on a carolina rig for big smallies here in Canada. Works awesome on a slow drag.

owner shakey worm
Works really well, owner had a few really solid products now. I found part of the issue has to do with the balance of the shakey head - not specifically owner but some Shakey Heads actually cause the bait to lay down. Football shakey is the way to go in my opinion.

koppers frog?
Belly color for frogs is definitely an issue. You have to think "Fish Eye View" instead of human perspective. If that fish is looking up from underneath a pad bed and you're pulling a white-bellied frog through on an overcast day, it is very difficult for them to target the bait cause the belly matches the clouds. On days like this it's better to have a darker color black, brown etc belly where they can easily see a silhouette of the frog against the white clouds.

Plastics
For storage and access ease, I always use a plano box and have never had an issue. I label each box with what's in it and make it easies to find what I want when I want it.

Tungsten weights insert free in bulk?
Just be careful what you wish for with this one. There are a pile of great tungsten manufacturers out there but I know from experience that some of the better deals out there are not all that great. You'd better be sure that they hone down the inside edges of the pass-through hole or you are going to see a LOT of line breakage. If the inside hole is rough, it just saws away at your line.

Tru Tungsten Carolina Weights
Love to share, but not my place to. I don't want to step on the toes of the folks that are behind the effort to bring the products back to the masses. I'm just excited to have my flippin weights available soon!

Rod Power Question
Consistency between rod manufacturers is a rarity. Even the same rod model from one year to the next can be hugely different (Kistler has this problem). Manufacturers use different production techniques, graphite and action measurement which is why you get a 7 MH that is ultra stiff and another 7MH that is a wet noodle. Your best option is to pick one manufacturer and stick with them if you like the quality and consistency of their product.

So what to do now??
Well if you have a week of consistent weather that's at least a good thing. Even if the weather is crap. I would run a search pattern with a slow moving crankbait or spinnerbait. Then when you get bit, slow way down and fish the area hard with a shakey head or wacky rig senko. Something nice and slow and easy prey. Odds are where there's one fish there's more and they should be stacked in an area waiting to move up as opposed to free roaming. Once you have a few good areas, keep cycling through as the fish will be active on and off through the day.

Tru Tungsten Carolina Weights
I'm new to the forum but just saw this. TruTungsten is gone but their products will be making a comeback in the next few months under a new company - same great products + a few new ones.
