  1. I haven't seen any BIG bass reports from him lately.
  2. I watched a fight and a half and enjoyed it. It was the first time I've ever saw that kind of fighting. I did come away from the last fight wondering if it was "rigged". The ref only broke up the fight when the balloon-eared guy had Kimbo on the ground. That's when crazy-ear was at an advantage. As a newbie to watching the sport I felt like the ref wanted Kimbo to win. He even talked to Kimbo a couple of times like he was an old bud, while the ear dude didn't get the "preferential treatment." Whether it was a rigged fight or not, it was definately a lot better than boxing (boring) or wrestling (way too fake). I'd watch it again if it came on free TV.
  3. Yea, a big congrats to Rip Bass! Frog, did he used to be a pro? The avatar: I've been on the FD for about a year and a half (just figured out how to use a picture off the Internet for my avatar).
  4. The top six anglers were within a pound of each other! How sick would you have been if you were one of the other five who didn't win? You know they all had something happen (lost a fish, caught one right on the line, etc.) that they will have nightmares about.
  5. That looks GOOD! What is that sausage sitting on?
  6. If that was a Tennessee hat you would look exactly like Bill Dance. :-?
  7. So You Want A Sponsor? Check out the 3-part series of articles on this topic on Bassmaster.com
  8. Hey, I resemble resent that joke. ;D
  9. For pants, a clean pair of khaki's always look good. If it's hot, khaki shorts can still be "professional" looking. For a shirt, since you currently do not have any sponsors, I would suggest buying a tournament shirt with your boat brand on it (most brands sell them). Always tuck your shirt in and wear a belt! Good luck.
  10. Goonie! Welcome Goonie, and thanks for helping BR reach another impressive milestone.
  11. Hey Glenn, How about a "Gripe About Gas" sticky?
  12. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing, where they are fishing, or what they are using. Find your own fish, where they are and what they are biting.
  13. Who, me? : By the way, that picture of you in the "Picture of Yourself" thread, is that the train tressell above Hamilton? Hope you won Sunday!
  14. I've been looking forward to this post. Glad you got to go fishing! Congratulations and thanks for your service.
  15. Check your math, he said he caught 20-22 pounds Good luck Peidy P
  16. I took my wife and my parents fishing in a local pond this evening, mainly for a mess of bluegill. While we were there I decided to use a few of the smaller blues for bass bait. We ended up catching about a half a dozen bass. My mom caught her first bass ever, a 4-8 beauty that wrapped around a dock piling and then she pulled over a slide. It was an awesome fight and will make for an even better memory. As a little side gift, I caught a 6-6 (my 2nd biggest bass of the year).
  17. Congratulations! Be safe out there and ALWAYS wear your PFD.
  18. Congratulations! That sounds like a great fishing trip!
  19. YEA THOSE PICS ARE THOSE A LITTLE ODD!! Odd? Only to those of us who can't catch 40 pound bags! ;D
  20. What happened to Doug Hannon's section in the forum?
  21. What does "white power" have to do with your new do? :-? Anyway, you're the ugliest troll I've ever seen. ;D
  22. Earlier, you stated, "I actually fished in a tournament on the TN river and didn't do to bad in it." That statement led me to believe that you have only fished ONE tournament. Now you are plainly stating that you fish a tournament every week. My advice to you for obtaining a fishing sponsor is that when you say or write something you do it clearly and honestly. When you wrote that you fished "a tournament on the TN river and didn't do to(o) bad in it," and later added that you fish a tournament every Saturday it sounds like you are making up a lie as you go along (I don't believe you are), or that you typically do very poorly in tournaments since you only mentioned success in one of them (I doubt that's the case either). I believe you simply need to be clear in what you say. One more piece of advice: Take the time to use proper grammar and punctuation. If nothing else, capitalize the first word of each sentence and the word "I." Anyone who is successful enough to be in the position to offer you a sponsorship would most certainly be annoyed with your writing skills. I know this is only an internet fishing forum, but practice here will pay off later. Good luck, Preach
  23. That's a funny quote to read on a fishing web site. One of the most famous bass fishermen is "The G-Man" Gerald Swindle. How many times has he won?
  24. She won her first IndyCar race in 50 tries. I don't keep up with IndyCar as much as Nascar, but she's still an interesting sports figure. Congratulations to her.
  25. I know he had a lot going on with school, work, and Church. Hopefully he'll be able to fit BR back into his busy life again soon. He's a good role model.
