I love Duke, and I'm excited they won last night, but I don't think they were the best team on the court last night. Duke looks like a great regular season team that will probably make it to the Elite 8, then lose. They don't have a a dominant big man and rely way too much on the 3. If their 3-ball quits falling agains a descent team in the tournament (which it always does) they're done. This reminds me of the JJ Reddick teams...fun to watch, but destined to lose. :'(

I thought this was one of the better Super Bowls (since the 90s when the Cowboys were in it ). I really enjoyed the game, especially the fourth quarter. I don't think coach "Hoodie" did anything wrong by leaving. He'd already been out on the field to congratulate the winning coach/team. Everyone accidently rushed the field pre-maturely. What was he supposed to do, have a do-over and go back and congratulate the winning coach/team again? Folks are just looking for something to bash him for now. As far as Eli Manning not being a good quarterback, thats just plain ignorant. Riding the coat-tail of his dad and brother? Does that mean Jeb Bush is going to be our next President? ;D Come on, the guy just won the Super Bowl! It's hard to admit as a Cowboys fan, but he's played some great football over the past couple of months. I agree with his own assessment...NFL football is a hard game to learn, quarterback is a hard position to learn, and just like ALL players and quarterbacks in particular, it's taken him a while to get really good. I think he's proven that he's good now. That Super Bowl ring and that MVP award agree.

I've gotten to sneak off to a local pond for about an hour each of the past two days. I caught 5 bass both days. Yesterday it was mainly a bunch of dinks with one descent one (2-15). Today the fish were bigger. They totaled out at 16-8 with the biggest being 6-13. I caught them on a variety of crankbaits, a spinnerbait, and a senko. Now that I've caught a few fish I can focus on catching something BIG. My goal is a 12 lbr. this year.

I think you are a little bias. ;D Seriously though, if they didn't call penalties because players had no "intent" of committing them, there would never be a flag thrown. If there were, they would have to give each "guilty" player a lie detector test to see if he honestly intended to committ the penalty, or of he did it by accident. The rules are pretty good the way they are...even when they don't help our teams win. Of course, this is from a Cowboys to a Redskins fan.

Over the past few weeks I keep seeing "new" guys on here who have been posting a long time. I search back through their posts and find out that they've changed their names. Now Burley is thinking about changing his. Why? To drive the simpleminded folk like myself crazy? Please, quit changing your names! > Alright, that's my rant for 2008 ;D
