  11. Welcome to the site. I think you are doing a good job on the baits for just starting out. Keep practicing and you will be able to paint any pattern that comes to mind in no time

  13. They look great!
  14. Not anything really special. Alot of folks use createx paint.....its an airbrush paint that can be found at most hobby stores such as Michaels, hobby lobby, etc. I scuff the surface of the baits with 400 grit sandpaper. Some use a rattle can primer but, I prefer auto air sealer. Just get some old cranks and practice away
  15. I think you did very well on it
  16. I have been using their 6'' lizards and the kriet tail finesse worm on shakey head and have done well with them
  17. Sounds good! way to think outside the box
  18. Tell you a little trick how to get the netting straight that will save you time. I use minnow nets most of the time for my stuff. Lay it over the bait and pic you out one row of the ''holes'' for lack of a better word and put it dead center of the back. When you get that lined up all the other lines will be just about perfect. I just use clothes pins to hold the netting in place. one thing that I also do to the net is take some scissors and cut it on both ends of the middle seam so I can lay it on the bait straighter and get it straight faster. Of course many folks may know this stuff already......so it may help the folks that are just starting out with painting.
  19. The shad pattern baits are basic......yours would look the same if you shot all your layers under the scale mesh
