  1. Ya I can't stand deer hunting in the heat either, but I love deer hunting enough that I'm still crazy enough to do it . What part of the state are you from? I'm just south of St. Louis.
  2. I woke up to a text today from one of my buddies, "Only 2 months and 8 days". These next couple months need to hurry up and get over with! I'm running a couple cameras on one farm right now just to see what's hitting the mineral stations, and going to put another out tomorrow. Then in the beginning of August I'm pulling them all from that farm and putting the whole army out on the farm I'm expecting to get quite a few big buck pics like I did last year. Every time I go to check cameras it feels like Christmas morning . Who else is ready?
  3. Thanks for the replies....
  4. Thank you for your service!
  5. Does anyone own either of them? What do you like/dislike about it. Thanks, Rory
  6. That is an awesome still!
  7. Outdoor Pro Shop has a good sale going on with these rods and reels right now.. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS431US431&q=outdoor+pro+shop
  8. Maybe a top water for the first hour or so of the tourney would be the ticket
  9. I'd run it by the owner first before you take fish out if he's the one that stocks it
  10. They look like the same fish but the second fish was a tad bigger and didn't have the sore on its gill plate like the first fish had. Both were caught on Zoom Magnum Finesse worms. Fish 1 Fish 2
  11. What are your guys' favorite night time lures? I've never night fished but I'm planning on doing it a couple times this summer. I've heard of using buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, big worms, and jigs. Also bass pick up dark lures better at night?
  12. Thanks for the input. Any opinions on this rod 7' MH? Reviews look good on it. Abu Garcia Veritas Thanks.
  13. Hey guys, this is my second account on here, lost the old one after the forum switch. Either way I'm only up to about 10 posts total I fished all the time with my dad when I was able to walk 'til I was about 12 and just did what he told me pretty much. I stopped fishing completely for a couple years, before picking it up when I was 16 again and getting addicted last year, when I was 17. I don't know much yet, but I'm learning all I can through reading up here, TV, magazines, DVDs, etc. I just bought my first baitcasting reel today, a Quantum KVD with the 6:3:1 gear ratio. I'm planning on using this reel for mainly jig fishing. I need a rod to go along with it now though. I'd mainly be fishing cover and structure, so I'd need to be able to pull fish out of cover and structure before playing with them a little bit. Would I want a longer rod for this, say a 7' M or MH? Or a 6' M or MH? Or somewhere in between? Thanks, Rory
  14. That's a great looking boat.
  15. Threw wacky rigged worms today and T rigged lizards and did really well fishing in a subdivision pond.
