I have 5 of the BPS Johnny Morris series....Love them....Buddies have Revos and Shimanos....IMO the BPS reels are just a good....For yes less money

I unfortunatly had to use the warranty program also....But was very very pleased.....5 year old Avid broke.,..called paid $50..within a week had new rod.......So I look at it like this......$230.00 total for 2 rods...Divided by 5 years thats less than $50.00 per year invested in a rod of that quality.....Any way you word it....Hell of A DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!

I like my St Croix Avid 7' ACV70MHF,,,,,,But also just picked up a Dobyns 734C....I fish senkos alot with them

Got my Dobyns 734c today....Using it for senkos only ...Great feeling rod....I have 3 St.Croix Avids ACV70MHF.......The Dobyns is definatly a bit lighter and also a bit lighter at the tip.....

I fish in Maine,,,water is very clear ,,,water temps from mid 40s to low 50s this time of year....Catch a ton of bass on the Husky Jerk ...clown color..both solid and clear version....

I own 3 avids and love them....And also the warranty is awesome....Although I think my next rod will be a Dobyns....I think you would be happy with either

I would have to say St Croix Avid....Great product ...Full line and customer service and warranty that is 2nd to none,,,,,,

Moving to Winter Haven area in the fall ,,,Looking for fishing buddies or club....Non-boater right now but working on that,,,,..

Just to put my 2 cents in ,,,,I own 3 avids and love them...One reason is the warranty...I have had to use it unfortunalty but it was excellent....Broke a 4 year old avid....I had never warranty registered it and they still took care of me....$50.00 and i had a brand new road in less than a week.....But I am planning on purchasing a Dobyns Savvy also......

Looking for opinions from current Dobyns owners on this ???
