  2. lol this has happened to me before
  3. Yeah that is a good idea. Except the closest bass pro is 3 hours from my house. But if you have one relatively close, then hell yeah thats an awesome idea
  4. I would keep the fish alive and make sure its comfortable and not being too stressed out. Wait for fish and game or whoever gets there and let them weigh her. Then send her on her way. Ofcourse I would take a bunch of pictures and maybe get a video. If I caught a record bluegill/crappie I would eventually release it after proper verification and some pictures. I would defnitley get some measurements of the fish so I can get a replica of the fish made.. but I dont like the idea of killing trophy freshwater fish. Release it so it can be caught by another angler one day
  5. Southeastern PA it seems the bass are spawning right now. I was fishing tuesday and I seen a bunch of bass in their beds. And then I went back today and the same bass were on the same beds. I couldnt get bit on anything. The one fish took a fat ika a couple times but I missed the hook. I cant wait until they start biting again because I dont know how to approach catching these fish right now
  6. I hate when kids/teens catch a big fish and then decide to bring it home. Just last year there was a group of teens running around this big pond I fish at. They were running all over the place, throwing in front of me and what not. The kid had a worm rigged like nothing ive ever seen before, he obviously didnt know what he was doing. Then one of his buddy catches a 5-6lber on an earthworm and they all started going crazy. They took it and threw it on the ground, the kid was going to bring it home. Well I am not much older then these kids. So I yelled over "hey, what did ya get? you going to throw him back?" that was after I seen him throw the poor fish on land. Well the kid said NO! DID YOU SEE THAT THING?! well that stuff just ticks me off. So stupid me started calling them names and telling them to put the fish back and that it isnt that big. Theyy just said "shutup what did you catch?!".. well at the time I wasnt pulling in fish but earlier that day i hammered 30 easily. Could have easily been a fist fight. Nowadays I just keep to myself. If people want to kill their catch then thats their problem. Ive seen a number of spanish guys catch turtles and bring them home. They pretty much take wqhatever they can get their hands on. There was one guy who would come everyday and take a duck or a goose. He eventually got in trouble for it. That type of stuff drives me goofy
  7. I just want to get out and fish as much as possible. I would also like to find some new fishing holes.
  8. I didnt think so. Its so hard to keep up with all the different plastics out now
  9. Awesome. Cant wait to take my little guy fishing. We still have a couple years tho. It must feel great
  10. Yeah well there is the Brush Hogs(6"), then Baby Brush Hogs(5 1/2"), and then Tiny Brush Hogs(3"). So I thought it was different that the crappie hit the 5 and 1/2" brush hog.
  11. I have the equivalent bps model. I just got it but so far its been awesome. Its so easy to use and its easy to just put in your pocket. Its especially good for removing hooks from pickerel or pike. The other day a pickerel had my firetiger bomber in his mouth and he wouldnt open it. So I put the hook remover in his mouth, pryed his mouth open, and then got the treble loose. I only use it for crankbaits and for fish with teeth. I dont like putting my hands in teeth or near treble hooks. But when fishing with a single hook and I land a bass, then I dont have a problem lipping him and getting it out. But this remover would sure come in handy for them bass that swallow the hooks and stuff. Its only like $5 and its well worth it
  12. Thanks for the response. Ill probably get some heat shrink tubing. Appreciate it
  13. Same. I was having success with alabama craw color. I even had a big crappie take one of the baby brush hogs. I would understand it hitting the tiny brush hogs, but I was suprised it inhaled the baby brush.
  14. When I was younger I was with my brother and another friend fishing for panfish in a little creek. Well out of nowhere I had to take a dump. So I went behind a tree and did my business. But I needed something to wipe. Well I found this bush with some decent leaves on them. Turned out the bush was poison sumac. It was all over my bum and even eventually made it around front. That was the worst. So stupid
