swapped in batteries i had layin around, and it worked, any thought on good batteries? cabelas?

the motor was testes in a test tank at the local minn kota service center, they powered it with there power supply

it has a plug into the boat, i replaced that, i have the cap off the plug and im testing it right after the plug-in on the trolling motor side

even if when i dmm the batteries they hold at 12.5 a piece? while the motor is on

i had my trolling motor checked over by a service center and they found nothing wrong with it, then i hooked it back up on my boat and it does nothing. i have 25 volts at the inlet to the motor, when the pedal is pushed it goes to 2 to 3 volts, then when depressed it goes back to 25 volts. tested at the batteries they hold at 12.4 volts each with the trolling motor running, any ideas?

so i had my trolling motor checked over everything worked fine. hooked it back up to the boat, the leads into the trolling motor show 25.5 volts, when you pushed the button the motor doesnt spin and it drops to 2 volts, then goes right back to 25 when you let off, is this the batteries?

thanks guys. i guess ill try to move out a bit, and fish the edge of the weed lines, slowly! hopefully it turns some results
