  1. That's how I use em too. My favorite bait for pitching to holes in vegetation or to docks and laydowns.
  2. 6'8 MH/fast cumara with a patriarch XT with 10# suffix elite.
  3. X2 definitely want the fast tip for plastics.
  4. I'm definitely a tackle junkie. I also fall into the newest is my favorite category. This time though it may last a while. I got an 893 nrx its only about two weeks old but its really unbelievable. I use it football jigs and love it gota 51/2 lb on it this weekend that I really believe was a result of the rods sensitivity.
  5. That was my first thought as well. Certainly doesn't say much for kistler though.
  6. Baby rage craw
  7. Totally agree with you. I always laugh at people who brag about how hard they set the hook. I usually put those people in the same group of people who cast their 1/16 oz lures 50 yards on a baitcaster.
  8. I suppose it depends on what you looking for. If knot strenght and abrasion resistance is what you looking for it will do a great job with that. However if you looking for a soft line with little memory that handles well I would look at something else. For me its too stiff and its like casting a Slinky through your guides. I no longer use it as a main line but when using as a leader with braid its great.
  9. Get two rods. This is not an adequate solution.
  10. I really like suffix elite. It handles well breaks well above rated poundage and it may sound weird but I like the way it feels under my thumb when casting.
  11. Although they may be more productive in water with craws they will go for it. I'm in New York and have lots of bodies of water with craws in it. I'm sure they are in some of your waters as well.
  12. Your right I screwed up. I meant right hand retreive. Fixed it.
  13. LC Sammy for me. I love watching that thing go back and forth and then get slammed.
  14. Sometimes I like to switch it up and go lefty. Sometimes ill sit on my right hand till it goes numb then...oh wait baitcasting always righty because I'm a lefty and want the rod in my dominant hand.
  15. I saw it mentioned on tackletour but havent found any real info on it. Do you know if they have more than handles and knobs. Maybe the shallow spool for mgx?
  16. Very nice. I really like my team lews so I may need a team lews pro. On a side note why do they make all the names so similarnbits really har to differentiate between models.
  17. X2 stay away from the skeets.
  18. If the bucoo is labeled "trap caster" then its a mod-fast action. I have the micro guide one and it works well for treble hooks. I've used mine for jerkbaits, squarbills, lipless cranks,Sammy's and cranks that dive to about 10ft. Ive never lost a fish on it. The rod however will not be ideal for plactics and other bottom contact techniques. Ive never used it foe spinnerbaits but I feel it could do a respectable job with them as well. Also don't get too caught up in length and power. I would return one of those for a fast or extra fast action rod in what ever lenght and power you like.
  19. Those things are absolutely hideous.
  20. I do like the patriarch better than the supreme XT, but at $80 nib I would end this thread and jump on that right now.
  21. Is there any reason the pflueger patriarch is not on that list? If not its definitely something to look into. I would take it well above anything on that list. In fact I already have twice.
  22. TW has the cumaras on sale for $140 you absolutely will not find a better rod for that price.
  23. I think he expects to get the money that is owed to him.
