My quantum exo spinning reel came in the other day and now I am looking for a good rod to put it on. Can anyone recommend a rod up to 120$? I use weightless plastics or maybe a frog top water here and there. Ive been eyeing the abu vendetta and veritas but reading mixed reviews about them breaking easily. Thanks

Hey guys, Starting a new thread to discuss this reel. I've been researching what spinning reel to purchase the past couple of days and when I was about to pull the trigger for a Ci4, I noticed the EXO on sale at Walmart for 150$, so I placed my online order there. The description on Walmarts website was for the 25 series, but my receipt shows that the model # is the 30 series. Is there a big difference between a 25 and 30? I hope it doesn't take forever to ship, my shimano sedona is broke! Does anyone here own an EXO spinner? Please comment!

Hows the casting distance with the Exo? I thought about the ci4 or exo for 2 days and I can find thousands of reviews for the ci4 and just a few for the exo. I actually found am exo at walmart online on rollback for 152$ made me pull the trigger. I think its the 30 size. I never bought a reel over 60$ and im replacing a 3 yr old shimano sedona which the bail opener keeps on falling out

Ok, I ordered the Quantum EXO PTI 6.9oz reel on rollback from walmart.com for $150... Couldn't find it cheaper than 200, so 15$ than the FJ on ebay...Hope i made the right choice

Im leaning towards the stradic ci4 2500 and after some research its between that or the FJ. Also, I am reading icast will be soon but never experienced an icast event. How much does that drop prices for older models,if any?

Well good you mentioned that I dont have a rod for baitcaster I thought I did in the garage. Might have to go spinning again dont know if I can swing the extra for a rod since I wouldnt want a cheap 1.

This question is probably asked a lot but my shimano sedona spinner reel broke and its only about 3 yrs old. The bail keeps on coming apart when I cast. Ive been reading that baitcasters are really nice if you dont cheap out. I usually fish with plastic lizards or top water frogs and will spend up to 120$. Any recommendations on what reel to buy for my fishing style?

The big ponds I was asking about is right near the kutter cheese factory off of route 5. Has anyone tried fishing there?

Yea the one in Sanborn is bond lake which is OK, very weedy. The ponds that look very good on Google maps are the ones in Pembroke off the 90. I wish I had a "secret" spot since I'm more in to quarries/ponds but all the ones I used to fish for years are now posted.

Yea I'm trying to find ponds again this year, my favorite spot billo rd in Lancaster was bought out and they are charging everyone with trespassing now. I didn't try the Albion quarry yet because its too far. I see some huge mini lakes off of the 90 and route 5 in Pembroke but not sure if its accessible.

I heard there's good fishing there but does anyone have any info about this lake? I tried to Google map it andiI can't find the place. Thanks

I just took a drive by the Walmart pond in Albion, looks BASSY.... The only problem is, I don't see any flat wide spots where I can carry in and blow up my inflatable raft, also theres not many spots to fish on land, maybe a 1 man spot and another spot for about 2-3 people. I would REALLY like to take out the raft but I think it would be VERY Tough setting it up there... Might try Alice lake for the first time in the morning, is there alot of big boats in Alice that causes waves? Maybe a question for Clayton. Thanks

Has anyone been to Aero in cheektowaga lately? Can you still get back there? How? I hear there's huge bass.. don't care if the water is polluted I don't each them anyways
