Planning on fishing either case or Quaker lake tomorrow - if anyone has experience with both lakes how would you compare the 2? I’m planning on taking the family so I will be on shore. I can’t tell from the maps how shore access is between both lakes. Any suggestions is appreciated !

I heard the bass fishing at Godfrey's is good but I went there for 7 hrs today to check it out because it was opened to the public. Anyways, I didn't hook on to 1! I had one bite all day and it was on a jig. Anyone here a member of the pond? Looking for info as I might give it another try but I will have to sign up and pay for a membership. Thanks

Found out that this quarry is a dump for waste water..thats probably why no bass are in there. I talked to others and they have only caught perch..weird.. I have jjst been going to the pond off of shisler road or the quarry off of peppermint but I havnt fished there much as I think its private but I see people there alot.

Ive been looking everywhere for one of these bass raider 10 boats and cannot find any for sale on craigslist. These little boats look perfect for where I fish. Dont want to spend 200$ shipping!

Yes, tested it tonight, the reel is MUCH better than the quantum EXO, VERY smooth and it casts very nice and smooth. I had different line on tonight though, I used spiderwire braid with the EXO and tonight I used powerpro. But, the reel opens and closes very easily, the EXO, I had to force close sometimes (thats why I returned it) I caught a few 1-2 pounders, I wasn't able to pull in a hog (I had one on at the hook, but my line broke, I don't understand) but anyways, if you are a spinner fisherman, the CI4+ is just awesome, BUY it!

Yea the Power pro is what I spooled up yesterday, going out and trying it tonight, had to hook up my old rod to me new reel though, but at least I can test out the reel. The line seems to have a lot more memory than the spider wire, but it seems like it will be a smooth line to cast

Well just returned the reel and they even offered to replace the line so since I was at wally world I picked up some power pro. Cant wait to put together the ci4+ and *** rod when I get home

Will be returning a reel I bought from walmart online, which was a Exo spinning reel, seems like it will only last a year, quality isn't the finest. I have spiderwire brand new line on the reel and cannot find the box/receipt...UGH! Might go with the Sufix 832

I have been using spider wire braid from Walmart - 15#.. What is more of a smoother line? I'm reading that Suffix 832 or Power Pro is the way to go. For the people that used both line: which one do you prefer? Also, what kind of PP of thats the choice?

I just received mine. I will hopefully test it tomorrow but its going to be 90 outside ugh..but..this thing feels very smooth and worth the money compared to my exo. I will be returning the exo tomorrow and will pair this ci4+ with my *** black rod that will be arriving tomorrow.

Well I decided to return the veritas but Gander only had the fenwick walleye rods, so I just ordered the *** black from TW. Also I am returning my quantum exo which feels cheap for the price and ordered the new stradic CI4+. So definitely upgrading for almost the same price the setup I had felt way to cheap for the $

Yes I am using strike king bitsy bug jigs. Today I hooked a few decent fish using black and blue jig with a black blue worm for a trailer.

Its either that I am a jig newbie or the fish there doesnt like them. I tried diff colors,trailers, jig off the bottom slow and fast just no luck. Going to try again today

Hi all, ive been fishing a quarry I just discovered recently and caught some decent 3-4lb bass, one I hooked last week had to be 5-6 but lost it. Anyways, I tried jigs for the first time tday and caught 3 small bass. I bought some strike king jigs at wallyworld 3/8oz and 3/16, I tried the 3/8 first but seemed too heavy as the water is probably no deeper than 6 feet in some spots really shallow. I used different trailers like 8" worms, tube worms, craws, lizards and caught them all with the mini 3/16 jig. The water is very clear too. Should I go and buy jigs lighter than 3/16 or is the jig supposed to hit the bottom very fast? Any trailer recommendations for clear shallow water?
