fishing trip across florida.
Wolf lake creek park in plantation Florida. If you wanna catch peacock bass. And if your looking for a trophy get some live shiners. BJs bait and tackle in plantation Florida they sell them for 75 cents a piece. Also John prince park in lake worth Florida. Fish the canals with live shiners or if you can get out on a boat go deep.

Kezar Lake Maine Upper Bay
Another thing I like to do because I am a avid swimmer is I snorkel under neath a lot of places I fish and looked to physically see what is actually there. I have been successful a lot of times doing this and I have found most of my spots on northwood lake that produce. Another thing a lot of fish in natural lakes tend to stay in the weeds from 10-15ft of water it's not like down south where there's schools of shad every where in these natural reservoirs.

Kezar Lake Maine Upper Bay
Never really fished Kezar, but I can say and chime into the offshore fishing without electronics. The way I attack lakes and bigger bodies of water that I fish sometimes in the canoe meaning anything bigger than 150 acres. What I'll do is I like too run 3 baits a lot nowadays t rigged curly tail worm in 7 or 10in size a 3/8-1/2ozjig with a race craw trailer for warm water temps or an uncle josh pork frog in colder temps more subtle a action. And the old school hula popper or jitterbug for top water. These are my go toos. Now for my plan of attack what I'll usually do if available is get a general contour map of the lake which you. Can get. Google navionics web app. It'll come up invaluable tool. What I look for is steep changes, points, flats, any kinda structure. Now I head to the water what I do from there is fish the heavy jig cast it out.... DONT MAKE A LONG CAST LIKE A CRANK short accurate casts to get the most feel. Now slowly let that jig fall all the way to the bottom then raise your rod tip a couple of inches upward like your dragging a t rig on the bottom. What your. Doing is basically letting the jig be your sonar if it bumps off anything could be rocks if it pulls there's vegetation. "Side not if you feel weeds don't just keep yanking rapidly you'll get a boat load of salad on the jig instead give less pressure let it sink down then apply a swift pressure up to shake the weeds off". That's pretty. Much what I do . And if all else if you can't get a contour of the place you wanna fish I'll look at the shoreline for any coves, steep banks, islands etc. and if that doesn't work fish the shoreline about outward of 20-25 yards and usually for most natural lakes about 20 yards from the bank is where it starts to taper to a different depth. Best of luck and another thing keep grinding don't just throw the jig and give up after 20 minutes. Fish it thoroughly enjoy.

Hudds? Recommendations
Sounds good hows your hook up ratio? My plan is im giving myself 2 weeks throwing a basstrix 7in perch and rainbow trout pattern I have soley too get the feel with the lure nothing else and then im gonna invest in the hudd rod. I really wanna get into it and fish it for a whole season cause they interest the hell out of me and I know theres a lot of time needed into these things but they do pay off big time.

Hudds? Recommendations
I haven't bought one yet. I'm looking into that aswell I was thinking of splitting up my limit to. 150 on the reel 150 on the rod 100 on the hudds

Hudds? Recommendations
How fast are you cranking the reel per turn? I usually when. Swimming a bait crank them consistently but I think too fast. Now the setup of but would be a 5:1 but right now I have a 7:1 and when I swim my big basstrix I had recturommendations of swimming it 40 seconds per turn in colder water periods. Just looking for some input to this of how slow so you go at any time during the year

Hudds? Recommendations
Came up on some extra money. Looking into buying a hudd setup to throw big baits also possibly use for heavy jig fishing and strip ers. My question is I live in NH fish a lot of small ponds under 200 acres. Natural ponds lots of weeds some timber rocks, but no major clear reservoirs or anything. I really wanna put some time into these things and I've seen and read articles of people in New England catching fish on them. So what size range do you think I should go and what ROF should.i choose I was thinking about getting 2-3 hudds. Any help is appreciated also what's he best method of fishing them? Do you cast let it sink and just feel or consistently twitch it once it falls? Little new to this so I'm just looking for any info.

From what I've heard its tough. Infested with rock bass its pretty deep, but I would say focus on the smallies if anything look for steep rocky shorelines and fish about 20 yards off of them and you should have luck.

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
Well I haven't measured the distance of the cast accurately I was just judging when I get home I'm gonna measure and see how long it goes. Roughly when I casted it looked about 30 and some good ones I even got 40

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
Well I just fixed out so I only have 2 and 2 on for mag and centrifugal. Now I'm casting a little better anywhere between 30-40 yards is this adequate I'm throwing a 4.8 in keitech swimbaits with 1/4oz swimbaits hook

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
I'll look today I gained a little more distance I didn't realize that the centrifugal brakes were turned on when pushed out towards the casing I thought when you pushed them in it was on which helped a bit, but I'll take a look at the grease today The rods in throwing them on are 2 7ft medium heavy bps Johnny Morris tournament special rods with 10lb mono line. So I think the rods are good. It may be just greased too much I'm gonna try that and see.

BPS Pro Qualifier Adjusting?
So about 2 years ago I bought 2 BPS pro qualifier reels. Now they work amazing reel smooth and everything but my biggest problem is I cant seem to get the casting distance as some of the other bait casting reels ive seen. Even my pflueger spining reel with a heavy enough lure casts further. Now I use a decent amount of weight with this reel about 1/2 oz so I dont think it is the weight issue. I have messed around with the dual breaking system too even putting it on no breaks and only 2 breaks still doesnt get the casting distance. Reason why I would like more distance is because I like to cover water with my swimbaits and jigs so any inside help would be appreciated. Thanks -Mike

I read some of the previous posts of others and saw that more towards the middle is the best fishing anyone have any insight? Or any recommendations of places not far from Northwood NH area.

Gonna wake up early Saturday and Sunday mornings. And gonna fish from 4:30-10am. Gonna hit up Powder Mill Pond most likely on both days. Any recommendations on where to go in there. I'll be launching at the ramp on Forest Rd. Figuring it'll be pretty weedy was gonna throw a T rig and some top waters and a jig. Looking too see how this place is depth wise and structure wise.

Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Gonna be on my home lake all weekend of northwood lake this weekend. Now I know it still holds a big fish or 2 in here my plan this weekend is to cover as much water as possible and find some deep weeds in 10-15 ft of water. I'm thinking I'm gonna throw a big. 5-7in swimbait and just run it any thoughts. The swimbaits I plan on using will be a basstrix rainbow trout style. Looking for any insight as to how to approach northwood it's mostly like a pool table really flat I'm thinking if I stay 20-30 yards off the shore all around its about 10ft water depth and I notice the weed patches tend to grow 20-30 yards off shore that are submerged.
