  7. I've gone twice at night. I caught a 4 lbs Large Mouth and a small one close to the end closest to US1 but that's it.

  10. Ok so I mainly fish horny toads Senkos rat l traps swim baits and some crankbaits. What would work for me? I'm guessing 7' MF really liking everything I'm reading about the 13 Black *** just don't know what would be the best reel for what I'm throwing and the $????
  11. If I decided to go with the *** *** Black 7' M/F what would be a good match for a reel as far as quality and weight?
  12. Thanks what model reel in that line do you like for the price?
  13. Thanks for the responses guys. Anyone have any other suggestions???

  15. I'm in Miami I'm glad you mentioned the *** *** Black I have been reading really great stuff and I believe it sells for around $120. I think that tops my list so far but again that's why I'm asking here. Just cause I have a certain budget doesn't mean I just wanna waste that money when I could have something just as good and save money.
  16. Hello all never used a baitcaster before luckily my buddy has one and will learn me up. I main rig is a 6.6 Berkeley Lighting Rod 2 piece MF setup with a Shimano Sahara 3500. I want a baitcaster for all around bass fishing so something that works good with all types of applications. I have about $300-$350 to spend and want something nice. I'm looking for the rod to be at least 7' MF. Please help!
  17. Ok I want to thank all of you for your help. I finally went with the Shimano Sahara and the Berkley Lightning Rod 6'6" Fast Medium 2PC with some 10lbs clear mono trilene.
  18. Also if I go with the Lightning Rod should I go with the regular or the Shock?
  19. One piece is better than 2 piece? I would like to keep it in my trunk but if 1 piece is way better I will go that route.
  20. I think you might be right
  21. Come to Miami we have tons off them. Whats funny is that I am using a $13 shakespere firebird combo from walmart. My buddy snapped the rod jamming it in my trunk and I have been having sooooo much fun lately and catching lots of fish that I can see myself wanting to go more and more so I wanna get something that will last longer and not feel like a toy. I have caught 5 really big ones at least to me in the 5-8 range maybe not 10 but my buddy that goes fishing often says there close.
  22. Hello everyone what a great place for info this place has been. I have decided to get the Shimano Sahara reel and am completely lost as far as rods go. I usually do freshwater fishing and ususally catch 3-10lbs bass where I go and haven't used crankbait yet jet use the tsunami pro lures that look like real fish and are rubbery like. I'm not willing to invest too much in a rod yet. I fish maybe 2-3 a month and was looking at a rod in the $50 or LESS to match my reel and the fishing I do. Can anyone please recommend me some decent rods for that price? Are the cheaper Shimano rods any good?
