New Shimanos At Tackle Warehouse
Hey guys, i ordered the Shimano Chronarch 51E and the Shimano Crucial 6'8" Med Hvy but i have a question, whats the difference between the normal casting rods of the crucial series and the reaction casting rods?! And think about to order a All Star rods and the most comments are very good but can somebody say if their worth their money?(All Star TAS-807C), i know its a Shimano thread but i wont open a new one for only that question:) Cheers and Tight Lines SJ

Line-Up?!
Hmmm okay, i'm scared of buying a wrong lineup, cause i think the avid series from St.Croix is much cheaper then the Legend Tournament, but if the avid series also do the job i could spend more money on baits and stuff:) I really dont know what to do,maybe i buy a lineup and i see then. Cheers SJ

Line-Up?!
Hey guys, i have a problem with my lin-up.I want a complete line-up from one company and i searched in the internet what will fit to me and my style of fishing. In my first thread here i asked about my first rod and i decided to buy a Dobyns Champion. The rod is really god and i enjoy fishing with the rod but i want a complete lineup. So i take 3 rod ranges and make a possible linup for me and i hope somebody can tell me more to the different rods i picked. So here i go: Small Jigs,Worms,T&C Rigs: St. Croix Avid AVC68MXF + Team Daiwa Zillion Length: 6'8'' Power: M Action: Ex-Fast Line Weight: 8-14lb. Lure Weight: 1/4-5/8oz. Jigs,T&C,light Cover,Swimbait: St. Croix Avid AVC70MHF + Team Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: MH Action: Fast Line Weight: 12-20lb. Lure Weight: 3/8-1oz. Cranks: St. Croix Avid AVC70MHM + Team Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: MH Action: Mod. Line Weight: 10-20lb. Lure Weight: 3/8-1oz. Weightless,Wacky,Micro Jigs, small Shakey Head: St. Croix Avid AVS66ULF + Team Daiwa Fuego-A Length: 6'6'' Power: UL Action: Fast Line Weight: 2-6lb. Lure Weight: 1/32-3/16oz. Wacky,Small Jigs,Shakey Head,Splitshot: St. Croix Avid AVS66MLF + Team Daiwa Fuego-A Length: 6'6'' Power: ML Action: Fast Line Weight: 4-10lb. Lure Weight: 1/8-3/8oz. So this would be my first possible line-up. Small Jigs,Worms,T&C Rigs: St. Croix Legend Tournament LTBC68MXF + Team Daiwa Zillion Length: 6'8'' Power: M Action: Ex-Fast Line Weight: 8-14lb. Lure Weight: 1/4-5/8oz. Jigs,T&C,light Cover,Swimbait: St. Croix Legend Tournament LTBC70MHF + Team Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: MH Action: Fast Line Weight: 12-20lb. Lure Weight: 3/8-1oz. Cranks: St. Croix Legend Tournament LTBC70MHM + Team Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: MH Action: Mod. Line Weight: 10-20lb. Lure Weight: 3/8-1oz. Wacky,Small Jigs,Shakey Head,Splitshot: St. Croix Legend Tournament LTBS66MLF + Daiwa Exceler-TSH High Speed Length: 6'6'' Power: ML Action: Fast Line Weight: 4-10lb. Lure Weight: 1/8-3/8oz. This would be the second one. Small Jigs,Worms,T&C Rigs: Dobyns Champion 682C + Team Daiwa Zillion Length: 6'8'' Power: M Action: Fast Line Weight: 8-14lb. Lure Weight: 3/16-5/8oz. Jigs,T&C,light Cover,Swimbait: Dobyns Champion 704C + Team Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: Hvy Action: Fast Line Weight: 10-20lb. Lure Weight: 1/4-1oz. Cranks: Dobyns Chamion 705CBMF GLASS + Daiwa Zillion Type R Length: 7' Power: M-Hvy Action: Mod-Fast Line Weight: 8-20lb. Lure Weight: 1/4-1oz. Wacky,Small Jigs,Shakey Head,Splitshot: Dobyns Champion 701SF + Daiwa Exceler-TSH High Speed Length: 7' Power: Light Action: Fast Line Weight: 4-10lb. Lure Weight: 1/8-3/8oz. This would be the third. So i really have no idea which lineup is the best one but thats the rod i normal need for my fishing style and my lakes. So i hope somebody can tell me more about some of the rods maybe someone have experience with some of the rods. Big Thanks for help and Tight Lines. Cheers SJ

Hi From The Other Side Of The World:)
Hey guys, so my name is Sebastian and im 19 years old,i actually live in munich(germany,no bass at all:( ).I go to school(my last 2 years) and hope i pass it.A big part of my life is fishing,i begin when i was 4 years old and i'll never stop,i'am totally new on the real bass fishing,i only have the chance to catch the 'german bass, smaller and not that funny),so i hope i can get information as much as possible to learn new things about bass fishing and maybe change and improve my own style of fishing. I find this forum by searching everything about bass fishing i can find and yeah, here i'am,other hobbies are music and sport(basketball). And my biggest dream is to emigrate in the USA but only if i finished school and can work or study in America. So i really dont know what to tell about me,so if there any questions, write me an mail or something. P.s:I hope the text is understandable for u,iif there any big error in it please tell me. Thanks, Cheers and cya SoftJunk

First Tackle?!
I read 3-4 articels now and its funny i have a totaly different fishing style on some techniques but its very interessting.Sometimes i dont get the message of a part of the text but all in all its good:) @hookingem: KVD is great but i prefer Jason Quinn, cause he was the man in my first fishing video if ever seen about bass fishing(its the video where he talks about his life as a Pro). So thanks for the help and i hope i can get some picks of the first fish which will be catch by the new tackle:) Cheers SJ

First Tackle?!
Ah okay, so i decided me for the Dobyns rod,in my eyes the color fits perfectly with the Zillion. And i also ordered the Suffix braid, now im pretty nervous:)I hope they are fast and i'll get the order in 1-2 weeks. But i have one last question, can somebody tell me a good dvd for starting with this type of fishing style(its not my first baitcaster and if also fished texas before but maybe a dvd can help to catch lil bit more:) Thanks for the good and friendly help:)God bless america and the ***** awesome bass stuff:) Friendly SJ

First Tackle?!
Hmmm okay, i was on tackletour yesterday and picked a St. Croix Tournament Casting Rod 6'8" Medium(1/4oz-5/8oz and 8-14lb.)But i also picked a Zillion ,it was the Zillion Coastal Cast Reel(would fit with the color, only thing is the fast ratio,i prefer a low ratio to jig or rig very slow). So i have a question, are the Dobyns rods better then the St.Croix or is it personal choice? So i shouldnt buy fluoro as line???I thought most guys fish fluoro that days(see it in some bass videos). And u right, i find a bait company which is perfect,Yamamoto will send me 15 pks of plastic...my mom is goind to kill me Thanks a lot for the fast answers Friendly SJ

First Tackle?!
Ah yes,i forgot to post it Price for the rod shouldnt be more than 300$,Reel 300$ and for the line i really dunno what the good lines cost?Maybe 30 $??? With one sentence,if the rod and reel fits perfectly in my eyes, the price doenst matter that much. P.s:I know its the wrong thread but if somebody could name me some good bait companies(size shouldnt be more then 5")???(maybe i get a chance to fish on the real bass in authum in italy) Friendly SJ

First Tackle?!
Hi guys, i need my very first fishing tackle for bass fishing and i dont have an idea what too choose or pick.First of all i need a Rod,Reel and Line. I fish on a small lake which is 5m deep and very clear.Cast distance is 20m-30m. A boat is not allowed:( I love to fish with softplastic(Jigs and Texas Rig). It's difficult for me to discirbe what i really need to know, cause im german and i wanna fish for the 'german bass',he's smaller then the normal bass and he isnt in cover...he bites not that aggressiv and i hope u guys can help me to get my first tackle for the fish(fishn style is the same,i only use smaller baits). So maybe i need to use a different rod or reel? I really hope my English isnt that bad and u can understand me Friendly SJ
