  1. I already did that. I’m looking for local knowledge that would let me know which of the boat launches or places to fish close by that produce.
  2. I am looking to anchor a tin boat on the Susquehanna River and fish for smallies in May. we are looking for a good launch where we wouldn’t have to go far to catch some nice bass. Preferably a launch closer to Scranton. Any help is appreciated!!

  4. No offense to him but thats his first bait caster, so I was looking for more seasoned fisherman that have been using bait casters for much longer.
  5. So I am a DIE HARD Shimano Curado E7/E5 owner, all of my bait casters are the E series. this is the first new reel I am giving a try in many many years. Should be in this week. Wondering if anyone has tried them or owns them? Looking forward to the DC series
  6. So north end is better?? Any lures or colors? I'm going there tomorrow for the first time!!!
  7. Thanks were giving it a go tomorrow, will let u know!!
  8. Any reports for smallmouth bass fishing up there? We will be staying in the buffalo area. This is the first time ever fishing the lake. We plan on mainly fishing buffalo harbor and possibly the river near there. Te other possibility would be presque isle bay if the reports are good enough. Thanks for any help that is given!!!! We start fishing tomorrow, Monday, were driving up now!!
  9. Anyone got an update on presque isle bay?? I'm traveling up today and pondering on fishing it Tuesday or wednesday
  10. I know how to skip with a spinning rod, thats easy. I just pitch alot and always prefer a baitcaster over a spinning reel unless im using 4-6lb test......i just like the extra control with a baitcaster. Thats why I asked the question specifically about the bait caster. im gonna throw on all the brakes and loosed the spool tension. probably let out 50 feet and put a piece of tape in the beginning stages.....
  11. I just wanted to hear from people on how you guys try to skip with a baitcaster. I have tried in the past briefly but I usually always get somewhat of a birds nest. Any particular setups for the reel? Lure? and on the technique.......... I am using a curado e7's............
  12. I am planning on fishing it in my team tournaments this season in the early months. This season I am fishing on my friends boat instead of mine and he doesnt throw this rig so its something that I think can be a game changer because it is NOT a popular tactic up here and I'm hoping its a game changer for me. Thanks for the replys. Have you guys thrown it on isolated rock shoals and or rock walls?
  13. Can you still catch isolated fish? I am thinking of throwing this in the pre spawn and I think some fish I catch aren't schooled up when I catch them on hair jigs. This is mainly smallmouth fishing maybe I would be lucky to catch a big largie getting ready to come up but mainly smallies. I was just wondering since I know alot of guys throw this in areas where shad and bass has schooled up but we dont have a whole lot of that here in the Northeast. Any help or ideas are appreciated......
