What size and type hooks do you use for 2" and 3" grubs if I want to fish them texas and weedless? And what size EWG hook for Berkley Powerbait worms with the swirly tail since they are pretty thin compared to senkos, 1/0 , 2/0? Thanks

Okay so I already asked a question similar to this one but I kind of want to be more specific as to my situation and what bait I want to use. As a beginner I found this small to medium size pond that does has bass in it, crappie, sunfish and who knows what else. I don't know if that pond has a decent amount of bass in it though. I want to use the 5" Gary Yamamoto Senkos and stick to soft plastics for now. My question is will crappie bite on 5 inch senkos because if there is barely any bass in that pond and the crappie won't bite on that, I will be pretty bored and dissapointed lol. If they won't bite on that what soft plastics and sizes do you suggest for crappie? What do you guys think?

Hey once again everyone. I have a stupid question but want to know about this. When fishing for bass, will the worms and minnows and senkos I am using also catch Crappie and Sunnies? The reason why I am asking is because I know I am going to have a little bit of a hard time catching those bass until I get more experience and would be happy with just catching a fish lol. Yeah I don't care about what I catch at this specific moment in my beginner fishing life but would definitely prefer bass obviously.

Hey everyone. I already asked a couple questions on here and everybody can probably expect more since I do not have a lot of knowledge in fishing. I read as many articles and threads on here and even search google before I ask a question on here. Sometimes I find information but just do not understand it. Anyways, after doing tons of research this week I am beginning to understand what types and size hooks to use, have somewhat of an understanding of types of fishing lines, and some in lures and bait. One of my questions is how do you know if you need to add weights or split shots and how much (especially in worm and soft plastic fishing) or when to use floats? And a more specific question when to T-Rig vs Wacky Rig? My last question for this post (for now lol) is that I only have one rod (for now) and it is a Ugly Stick with 8lb Mono line on it, what lures are supposed to be fished on a setup like that? Thank you and this forum is so helpful.

Okay I read some of the article and its starting to make a little more sense then it did. If I was to use mono line on my regular Shakespeare Ugly Stick spin cast combo can I use any lure I want on it? Aren't there certain lures you use on like mono and certain ones you use on braided or is that just the difference between spin cast and bait cast. Basically do you use soft plastics, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, all the types on certain lines or is it the difference between the types of reels. Sorry but even after reading the articles it leaves me a little confused.

Okay so I assume when u say 10lb test that u mean mono.... but I can use this type of line with softplastics, spinnerbait, crankbaits, jigs, pretty much anything right?

Hi, I just wanted to know some basic information to get me started with bass fishing. I get so confused with all the types of lures. I only use one fishing pole so I am only going to have one type of line. I will probably use soft plastic worms and grubs most of the time but I know other lures are great too. If anybody can give me so basic info on types of lures to use for what situation and maybe even what colors are best it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey everyone. So I am a beginner in fishing only fished a handful of times. I want to put new line on my spinner reel. I know there are a few different types of lines but don't know which one to put. I am going to be primarily fishing bass and to be honest I only have very basic knowledge on what lures to use. What type of line and what pound tested should I use. Thanks everyone!
