  1. Ive never been really big on soft plastics, but Im getting more and more into them as I re-invent the fisherman in me. If anyone would care to share what they know, I'd like to hear about it. Extensive writings can be sent to; hooks4bass@gmail.com Primary will always be Largemouth, but I will go after Stripes, Hybrids and Rocks too. I'm in Arkansas, and fish both rivers and lakes, both afoot, and afloat.
  2. I've only seen a gunfish in a Skeet Reese video, he said he swears by it. After reading what you guys have said, it looks like this deserves a much closer look, this time in the store. Thanx guys!
  3. I guess I'm in the same circle as Red, just a few that I know really work in one Plano box. I'm slowly rebuilding my collection. D vorced, D card, D boated, and D tackled. Oh well, back to Wal Mart.. hahaha
  4. I've seen them a few places before, I guess I would say... Each to their own, 20 some years ago, an older fellow I used to fish with told me that most lures were made to catch fish, some were made to catch fishermen. Good Luck!
  5. I get that "I think you're nuts." look a lot when I talk fishing in the cold months, but think of it this way.. as long as they are alive, they have to eat, hot, or cold. Im going out to try a wacky rigged minnow on a 1/8 oz jig head today. My wife even thinks Im crazy.. So maybe I am, about Bassin'.
  6. I've never caught one like that, getting a lip ripped during a mean must really be a drag, but....... That's fishing!
  7. GOOD GRIEF!! Some people have all th luck! The power plant close to me is a coal burner. I'm going fishing today, my wife thinks I'm nuts!
  8. I'm in the south, jigs with a slow ROF would be just the thing to nail those suspended bass, since it never got REALLY cold here. Just a lil thing Id like to pass on, Im headed out to try it today, is wacky rigging a minnow in a 1/8 oz jig head to give it a wounded action. Can't wait to see how that all plays out.
