I've trolled lake Okeechobee before.. I've found grass patches and rock structure like that as well. Usually do it while I eat some lunch . and no it's not cheating..

Griffin rd/ Orange Ave canal has a couple spots specifically for launching kayaks. One is at 441 and Griffin which is for the brackish water side and another is on the freshwater side farther west.

I was just thinking about the effects music being played has on fishing lately. Will it spook them and get them excited?? I'm in the process of installing a mp3/ radio system in my boat. I was thinking if the Hydrowave gives off sounds that are suppose to fire up the fish into biting, then why wouldn't other sounds possibly do the same thing, right? I can't wait to get this thing installed on go jam out while fishing and go to test my theory. Hopefully they like techno! lmao

Yup, they must of been chasing schools of bait. Happens all the time this time of year. Use a prop bait, popping or walk the dog style baits. I always say bass jumping clear out the water like that, remind me of Great White sharks chasing seals. Awesome!

Man, that's sad, he didn't make it. Ya, I was out there when the rain moved in. As soon as I got back to the ramp, the rain stopped. I went back out but the lighting and thunder forced me back to the ramp. I think it's safe to say I'm will not be fishing lake Okeechobee on June 8th. Ironically enough, it was June 8th (noontime) last year, when that other angler was struck and killed by lighting to. R.I.P to both. p.s Sorry for hijacking your thread, Shane.
