  1. There's lots of great rods for under $125 !!! Im in the same position as you and its hard to find the right one. Im gonna have to make a trip to Dick's Sporting goods sometime to tryout a few. You should check out the Abu garcia veritas and the St.Croix Mojo Bass. If you like to buy online, then Check out some E21 pro carrot stick that are on sale for $119!!!
  2. Hey everyone, I'm looking for a good baitcasting rod for under $120 that wont break easily. I'll be throwing mostly 5" or 7" senkos (T-rigged & weighted) and sometimes ill break out the spinnerbait. I fish from the shore most of the time so i want to be able to cast far. Right now im looking at the Abu Garcia veritas and St. Croix Mojo Bass. Which should i pick? Feel free to suggest any other rods too! Btw, the reel im going to use is a Shimano Citica 201e
  3. Smack a Shimano Citica 200e on a Abu Garcia Veritas, and you got yourself a great combo for about $200 !!!!!
  4. i only use braid when i flip and topwater lures.
  5. If i had to chose one bait to use for any one random day of the year, I would pick up a Gary Yamamoto 5" senko in the Junebug color. What would you chose?
  6. My friend has a lews speed spool, and the main thing i like about it, is its handles. They feel great, and really help when you hook into a lunker. I'm a shimano guy, and i love my citica's grip, but i like the lew's grip better. Performance wise, I'll stick with my citica and curado.
  7. I mainly use my bait caster, But if it's really windy, ill switch to the spinning gear.
  8. Temperature dropped down from the 90s to 70s here in GA because of the hurricane, and the bass didn't really bite crankbaits anymore, so i switched to my finesse setup and it's working great.
  9. Cant go wrong with a St.Croix Mojo Bass rod for $100. They're durable, sensitive, and light. Not as light as the veritas, but imho the veritas feels like a bamboo stick that would snap when i set the hook.
  10. I get the same amount of bites with normal hooks, than i do with red hooks. After about 3 fish, the pain rubs off and the hook turns goldish.
  11. Hey everyone, Im new to the forums. I fish in Ga. And im a Shimano guy. Im not the best with intros, so thats about it!
