Favorite Braid? New To Braid Need Help
What is your favorite braid out there? I am new to braid and planning on putting some 65# braid on a heavy action rod for flipping and pitching/ and heavy duty grass and structure fishing. So what braid do you guys prefer? Do you notice a difference in bites when using a bright braid versus a moss/ camo braid? And I do plan on using backing of mono. Uni to uni know to connect them. Maybe something like 14#. Let me know what you guys think!

Jig Setup Help!
Thanks for the input so far. Do you guys think I should go with a 7' 6" jig/flip rod instead of the 7'3"? I would like to keep hearing what you guys think. I could run heavier setups on the braid or 20# fluorocarbon and use lighter jigs and swimming jigs on the 7' mh setup Roadwarrior- Do you really like braid with jigs? Can you still stroke a jig as good or is that effected by the braid?

Jig Setup Help!
So I plan on getting a new jig setup. I think I am going with the Dobyns Savy 7'3" heavy action rod but I don't mind hearing possible better options. If you like a rod better in that range let me know! But my real question is what line to go with. I don't have multiple setups available so I need a rod that can cover the whole spectrum in one setup. I have been going back in forth whether to get heavy fluorocarbon (17-25) or braid. I plan on swimming jigs, flipping jigs in heavy cover and using football jigs, stroking and hopping them. What do you guys think is the best fit for this setup? I have seen opinions from both sides.Does the braid perform well when stroking and swimming a jig? I could tie on a leader if need be as well. P.s. I also have a medium heavy 7' veritas with 15# fluorocarbon tied on. It crossed my mind that I could use some of the lighter jigging on that rod and heavier stuff on the 7'3". Let me know what you guys think!

Best Flipping And Pitching Combo
Thanks for the input and keep the suggestions coming! Hey msolorio how is the flipping trigger on the ardent? I have heard great reviews and then others where its seems to misfunction. I will definitely look into a Dobyns if I catch it at the right time. I have only heard amazing things about their rods. When usually does the vendor have a sale like that? And from the sounds of it there are no problems with braid. Already had my eye on some suffix 832 lime, maybe ill lower it to 50# to get a little extra on my spool

Best Flipping And Pitching Combo
So I need some help choosing the ultimate flipping and pitching combination. I want to spend $200-250 and no more than $300 on a rod and reel combo. I plan on using this as my go to flipping and pitching combo as well as throwing some bigger swimbaits on it. I am thinking it would be a better idea to put more money into the reel versus the rod? I would really like to hear some suggestions and reviews. I have been doing a ton of research and looking up reviews but I want to make sure my mind is made up before I make a purchase. I would love to hear from some of you guys who have tested and tried quite a few different rods and reels. Help me find the ultimate setup within my budget! I have some rods and reels that come to mind but if you have a different suggestion please let me know. For reels a few that come to mind are: Ardent denny Brauer flipping reel Revo winch A shimano (don't know the best one for flipping but I love my Curado 5oE Quantum Antix For Rods: Abu Garcia Veritas Skeet reese honeycomb Carrrot Stik Quantum Tommy Biffle/ Greg Hackney series rod I plan on putting some 65# braid, and use a fluro leader if needed. But I can always be talked out of braid and into some heavy flouro if it is more effective.
