Ok, got all the catches and lures used so far. Did them with some down time at work. Dam there is gonna be a lot of you guys this month I guess. I didn't think that there would be that many participants, lol. Oh well, I am gonna have to get more organized with a binder or something. So far the patterns of catches seem to be topwater frogs, vibe worms, and baitfish type baits (flukes and EZ's). This is the general pattern this time of year. So far you are all doing pretty good. Biggest fishes so far are dsidle-21" on a Ribbit frog in Lusiana craw Mutt-21" on a white fluke

Everything is in the new house. Most importantly the garage is ready for the boat, lol. I am soo ready to hit the water this weekend. Cant wait to be able to just leave everything on the boat when I am done fishing. I am tired and sore, but should be good by Sunday. Hopefully I should have my new Crucial and Clarus rods by then to use. This month may be tough for me fishing wise, but I will make it work the best I can. The good news is that there is plenty of new water that I need to fish around here. I will be beating the banks in my neighborhood, and I have a nice lake area with some (hopefully) promising coves that should hold some decent fish. Now I just have to find a place to drop the boat in.

Ugh. You guys got off to a faster start than I thought you would. I am sorry but I am moving this weekend, so my reports may be delayed a bit. I will go back and read the catches and stories more in detail after this crazy weekend. Gonna be a rough month to start.

OK, to add to what Lou was talking about on the information about your catch. If you would like to participate in this just add a little info on the way you caught the fish. For example: I caught this 20" on a Zoom Brush Hawg in Watermelon seed, Texas rigged, jigging through grass, in the afternoon. If you would like to make a seperate post about each fish with a little story (if they are monsters) you may, we are obviously not shy about the # of posts in this thread, lol. Also, say you go out in a day and you dont catch anything big (like when Lou and I went out) but were hammering them all day, you may do so as well, because that may help others to think about what kind of baits they should be throwing. Im sure all of you will post this info in your own little ways, but I will be monitoring the tactics that you use, with the times of the month (granted you remember the days you caught them, and post them fast enough) and using this info to make a weekly post with Lou after he puts up the top 10 for the week. I will be adding in my own little observations I make on the water as well, and will try to put this all in a little "report". At the end of the month we will have a record of: Who caught the biggest 5, and what on. What all of your fish were caught on, and the most used lures, and which ones seemed to work best for that month, etc. If you have any questions on this please dont be afraid to ask. Alright, Im gonna have to pry into this little disagreement we have here. Honestly, if you want to just throw your catches out there in the end of the month instead of going along with the weekly thing, Im calling BS. I know that we are not here for money or prizes, but at that game, you have just taken all the fun out of this little comp. Now, Im not saying that its impossible that you don't catch fish all month, but then you do the last week or so, but really? You think all of us are that dumb to not catch that? Since I am going to try and implement the lures into the equation to help maybe get some kind of help to some that don't have the experience in fishing that some of us veterans have, you may want to be fair about your catches. If need be we could just implement a proof of date in the picture of the catch to keep that from happening as well. I mean come on, you got a whole week to load pics and whatnot. I really only get to go out on Sunday, and Lou was nice enough to extend to Monday night for the previous week. Don't tell me you don't have the time, because some of you fish like you don't even have jobs, lol. Lets be adults and fair about this friendly game we have going on, we don't need a bad seed, or this Southern Boy is gonna come and ring some necks , lol. We don't need to be worried about ninjas, or if you were even honest enough that you caught those yourself in the given time.
