Back water which lowes creek was that? We would have had around 23 lbs for a two day weight. I did have a friend up there who caught a 6lb bass that was prespawn in the sandy creek area. He doesnt fish much and caught it kept and cleaned it and was asking what the yellow things in the fish were. It was in about 2 ft of water about to spawn.

Mayde it to the Bend this weekend. Saturday morning fished from 6 40 till 9 30 had 10 legal fish no large fish biggest was about 2.5. Went back out around noon and struggled. Same story Sunday morning had 11 legal fish by 9 around the same size. Fish came on senkos with a light weight, spinners, and a square bill.

Yeah they are usually there this time of year. What time of day was it? I have caught them there alot but it has usually been right after daylight.

I am hopeing to get to the bend this weekend. I will be fishing the Hickory Ridge/Lows Creek area whichever you know it by. I will prorbaly start in the morning on Mcgee flats and then hit some points in Lows as the day moves on. Will let you know how I do when I get back.

My partner fished yesterday evening in the hickory ridge area. He only fished 2 hours and had 9 legal fish a 3.7, 5.8 and the rest in the 2-3lb range. Caught all on flukes in 2 ft or less water. Several could have been males but I doubt the 5.8 and 3.7 were.

FIshed saturday and sunday, Saturday fished from 7 till 11 had 7 keepers best 5 going 14.8 had a 4.6 and others were good solid fish in the 2.5 to 3 lb class. Sunday fished till around 10 30 and had 9 keeprs best 5 went 12.7 had the same average fish just not the 4.6. Caught all of the fish shallow in less than 4 ft on a tx rig Lizzard and a wacky rigged senko. Fished the hickory ridge area. I did not sight fish but saw several nice fish either around a bed or just cruising in circles in the shallows. Had two big fish under our dock that appeared to be getting ready to spawn.

Spawning areas what are some of the top spawning areas in the part of the lake you fish? I fish the hickory ridge 6 mile area and mainly fish the very back of hickory ridge and Mcgees landing area both can be very good at times but both are dry this year

I caught most of them off a 20 yard spot on mcgee flats I also had a few on points in the hickory ridge area

Last weekend they were shallow and the best bite I had was on a red eye shad im not a big lipless crank guy but it easliy out produced all other offerings for me last weekend any point I found that was flat and shallow on top and dropped to deep on the sides held fish. Did not catch 1 fish all weekend that was not on a point. They could be other places but after the first couple of hours of trying other places I went to just fishing points.

it was pretty good fished saturday from 7 till 10 30 in the am boated 11 legal fish with 5 best going 15.2 9 of those came off of 1 20 yard stretch on mcgee flats Fished late saturday evening boated 3 legal fish around 2 lb average had 2 more same size pull off fished sunday morn form 7 till 9 had 3 legal fish all between 2 and 3 lbs caught almost all of the fish in 2 to 4 ft of water on a red trap inside the grass line. Caught around 3 of the fish in the 8 to 10 ft range. Had a 4.8 a 3.2 and a 3.0 on sat all in the 2-4 ft range. Was there a tourney this week end? alot of boats running

will be fishing the Mcgee flats/ Hickory ridge area this week end have not been in about a month anyone have some advice?
