  1. I think I will be able to play college football. Will I be able to keep my sponsors?
  2. I fish farm ponds quite a bit (around 3 times a week). My best performing baits are a Mann's Baby 1-minus, a TC Custon Baits Southern Shaker, and a Zara Super Spook Jr.
  3. I would go with the Quantum Accurist hands down. I love my Accurists, and my brother (he's 12 and got one as his first baitcaster yesterday) loves his. I love the flippin' switch and the retrieve is really nice.
  4. I'm looking far a rod blank that's between 6'10" and 7'2" that would be good for finesse jigs and senkos. What are your suggestions? Would this blank be good? G Loomis GLX Poppin' Casting P844-GLX 7' 1pc. Medium Fast 8-17# 5tip .495 butt
  5. I havn't tried the Summit, but you can't go wrong with a Quantum Energy PT or Tour Edition PT IMO.
  6. Baitcast Set-up- 14# Triple-Fish Camo-Escent Perlon Spinning Set-up- 8# Triple-Fish Flurocarbon I have yet to find a line that performs better than Triple-Fish.
  7. I'm in Kearney. It's a suberb of KC. I fish a lot of farm ponds in Clay and Caldwell county.
  8. I've searched for the best, and about a year ago found it. I absolutley love Triple-Fish Camo-Escent Perlon. Perlon is basically mono, but restores itself after being streched. So far this year, I've caught over 400 fish using this line, and have only had one break off using this line.
  9. I use a Quantum Energy PT 5:1 gear ratio. With this gear ratio, you can slow roll a spinnerbait, or burn a crankbait.
  10. I would buy a Quantum Energy PT. The finish looks great, it perfoems well, hold quite a bit of line, comes in a 7:1 gear ratio, and has plenty of power.
  11. On all my baitcasting reels, I have the drag turnes as high as I can get it to go. If I get a nice fish on, I use freespool and my thumb as drag. That way, I have more control of the fish. If you are using fluro though, set your drag a little looser, because it can snap on the hookset.
  12. I don't use mono, but use line a lot like it. I use Triple-Fish camo perlon. Perlon is like mono, but it restores itself after being streched. I use 20# perlon for jigs. The only thing I use fluro for is on my spinning reel, and sometimes for senko's and finesse jigs.
  13. Quantum Energy PTs w/ a St. Croix 7' MH. 7:1 gear ratio. I like the PTs because it won't corrode. It's made for saltwater, but is just like the freshwater energy but it won't rust.
  14. That is some GREAT advice. Thanks for your input. That must of been cool seeing a 10 year old weighing in an 11 POUNDER!
  15. either a 1440 jon boat or a Bass Hunter EX
  16. I went to an estate auction and picked up a brand-new never-been-used 24# thrust hand trolling motor. It is an older model and has a telescoping handle. I got it for $30!!!!!
  17. I'm a BELIEVER NOW!!!!!! Today a caught a 5.5 pound bass and a 14'' white crappie off of a Cabela's 5'' shad swimbait.
  18. SWEET! :( Is that a 200 or a 225 Yamaha? What's the top speed you've gotten it to go?
  19. That's a really nice boat Chris! Did you build those decks?, Because those look really good. I can certainly understand your feelings, the maitnence would be a pain.
  20. Yeah, I know. I'm in the process of buying a 1987 Stratos w/ a 175 HP Mariner. I have a HUGE list of things including those. That's what I was planning on doing to the seat, just storing it in the storage locker just in case I might want to use it. It has a Lowrance X-135 at the console and bow. I would get the Humminbird for the GPS.
  21. I like fishing pea gravel banks. I like doing this because there always seems to be a keeper bass or two when I'm fishing pea gravel ;D.
  22. Yes, I fish a lot of tournaments ( At LOZ on holidays too). I've gotten used to using a trolling motor without a seat. I'm more comfortable like that. I can't stand to sit down or lean on something when I'm fishing. LOL! Maybe it's my height that throws me off :-?
  23. I do the smae thing except with a Rebel Pop-R!!

  25. I like fishing stamding up, and your not on 1 leg most of the time. You're only on 1 leg when you need to adjust the position of the boat.
